This file is directly from the SD Card on my M835 I installed with. I used WiFi to Upload it.
Fixed Resolution.
WiFi Working.
*Note the first time I tried this I forgot to wipe the data / cache and Resolution was not fixed.
*Had to use Google Apps package: CyanogenMod 6 here.

An observation I made with the last CM7 build on the Playfuldroiz wiki page 09162011, the CPU settings to OC, it doesn't allow you to slect any governors or make any selection with the min and max cpu settings. Something is wrong with the display menus. This is not the case with the previous build 09132011. Just thought I mention it.

this build has the stock m835 kernel in it to see if that fixed wifi, so it maybe limited in some areas. And the wonder folks at huawei wont release the kernel src for the M835 since they've released a .32 kernel src for the U8800 whihc is useless to us. :\

umm sum1 try the latest Ascend build please. If wifi is working with the CM6 build it should work in the Cm7 build as well.

Wi-Fi Auto Shuts off on me, but at least it doesn't give me a "Wi-Fi = Error" messagw

Hello sirs and or madams, Just wanted to thank PG for this im currently using it. Im new to rooting and ROMS but it was very easy to do....
I was amazed at the benefits of this custom rom,,,, that being said i did have a few problems
The problems ive had are the contacts and the FC of android.process.media and the wifi of course! i also had a problem with the market but it was my bad as i didnt realize cyanogen didnt come loaded with the gapps
I fixed the contacts issue by bringing it to my carrier (metropcs) and using that lil machine they have to sync my contacts from my old phone, The FC issue was solved by simply deleting the data from the download manager through the app manager
Eagerly yet patiently waiting for a wifi fix

Yes PG that lil machine they have that rips the contacts pictures etc from the old phone......
But i tried this version of CM6 and im stuck on boot screen with the green droid and it says cyanogenmod 6 anyone else have this problem? I thought it was an abnormaly long boot but its been like 20 minutes <.<
if this continues im going back to my backup. Whats the button combination to boot into recovery mode from startup? I thought it was power+center button but doesnt seem to be working.

nvm i found it. recovery mode is send (green button) plus vol up plus power. =) back to stock til wifi fix FML

i told you this a while ago @ pg but basically the same thing works on cm 7.1 but not on 7.2 so there must be something thats changed thats not allowing it to work

Oh and before the Boot with the Green Droid and the Animated dots at the bottom my screen displays 3 red multilines arches at first power up. Goes away and boots to the animation with in 30 seconds or so.

how do you open the google apps? i dont have the market n stuff. that file is on my sd card

3. Locate gapps zip
4. Backup ROM, wipe Dalvik Cache, and install

So far, PlayfulGod hasn't found anything, but imho, I think the reason for the whole Wi-Fi issue is because the M835 uses a Broadcom BCM4319 chipset and open source drivers for the chip we're never released

Wifi autoshuts off for me too same as cyber.... what am i doing wrong?
will just wait for 7.2 to be wifi friendly or something i like it better then 6 as far as i can tell

I've explained what the issue is a dozen times. The m835 comes with a .32 kernel, the ascend has a .29 kernel. The wifi module is looking for a 2.6.32-perf kernel version n not finding it. And yes broadcom is very stingy with their src, bastages lol. Are you sure its a 4319 the m835 uses? Thats the same one the ascend uses, and if thats the case the ascend kernel n wifi module should work out of the box, which they are not.
Just wanted to say thank you SO much for the work put into this, PG. I've been waiting to try this rom until wifi was reported workin... so I tried the newest build yesterday and sadly it does not.
Another bug I came across was getting landscape mode to function correctly. I have it set to automatic when I tilt the phone, but it rarely works and seems quite random. Also when I play many games, the resolution seems to be off.. and the clock settings didn't work.
Also if someone would care to post the CM6 build or a different build that supports WiFi please post new links if ya could.. thanks in advance.
*EDIT* when trying to flash to the CM6 ROM posted above the recovery mode gives me a fast error that I can't read, aborts and restarts. Also if you could clarify which device I should be choosing when I choose the recovery ROM, that would be appreciated. Sorry I'm new to installing custom ROMS.

hello guys, I cannot seem to send or receive MMS messages with CM7. My web browser works fine but just not picture messaging. I am using CWM 3.0.2.4 Ideos U8150 since the Ascend flash wouldn't get me past the boot screen. How can I get my MMS working again? Thanks

You might need APN Manager to get the data from a previous backup and then with CM7, input the details using the same App
EDIT: WiFi DOES work on that CM6 build for me, however, the screen for the dialer is a little cut off xD, using CM7 for just the phone
