I had a weird problem today... Can't link it specifically to the upgrade, but since I never had any problem with my phone before the upgrade, it must have something to do with all the new problems I'm having.
I tried to make a phone call, audio was not working, I did a test calling my office line and I could hear it ring, but no sound on the phone.
I tried a few time, switching bluetooth on and off, didn't make a difference.
Finally, back to normal after a long and painful reboot, as I'm now getting used to...

You have to adjust volume while setting the alarm to make It louder.
Hi all,
I read through this thread and was sad to see that nobody else is having the issue I'm having
Since doing the update I can no longer connect the phone to a PC for Sync or even to mount the SD card. When I plug in the phone I get the HTC Sync that shows up in the notification bar but the PC never shows it as connected. the option to mount the SD Card does not show up on the phone at all. I have tried a factory reset and a format of the card so far and still nothing. I have tried connecting it to a Mac, a Linux box and a Windows 7 box, same thing on all of them, the mount USB option is missing. Honestly I dont care about Syncing as I have never done that, don't see a need for it personally but not being able to mount the card is totally annoying!
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ed.
Just wanna give a quick update...
Weirdest thing, After many more hours of troubleshooting I made no progress. Finally I gave up and figured I would deal with it one day. I plugged it into my work PC yesterday to charge and it works now! I have no frakin clue why it works again and I don't think I did anything to make it work again. Weird weird weird...lol. Weird but I'll take it!
Thanks all.
- Bluetooth activation of Voice Dialer (even using 3rd party) MIGHT not be working. We need to confirm
The rep didn't say "previous build" did he? The reset simply puts the current build back to stock as last updated. You won't and can't go back to the older version. I doubt that you could reflash the update (you already have the current version) but if you could then that isn't a horrible idea if you are resetting anyway.factory data reset under setting->SD card & phone storage, and test the bluetooth at the previous build version.

However a factory reset and then testing BT without any other installs isn't a bad idea. Then you'll know if something else is conflicting or if indeed a bug.
in the original android contacts, i was able filter the list to show only 'My Contacts' from my google contact list. but the option is no longer there when i use People in senseui, it only seems to show 'All Contacts' so i have a contact list filled with people i've happened to interact with in gmail in the past that aren't really my contacts. it's annoying. i have to keep deleting these so called contacts just to keep the people list clean. any way to get the stock contacts back? >_<
This probably isn't a bug and has always been that way for me but could someone else check call forwarding? You can set Always Forward or go to voice mail. You can't for example set Forward When Unreachable. The options are there but you can't change them to anything useful.
I was the one who initially posted that call forwarding wasn't working. I got rid of my voicemail plan and forward my calls to Google Voice. After the update, I realized that people weren't getting my voicemail so that's when I realized that my settings had been reset. No amount of tries would allow me to set it, not even those *21*[phone#] codes.
Rogers Tech had to manually set it on their end.
To be fair I don't think this is a firmware bug. This is corporate policy and one of the reasons I left cell phones years ago. The settings for this are not stored on the phone which makes sense and no matter how you try to set it (* codes from another phone etc) it never gets set.I was the one who initially posted that call forwarding wasn't working. something like that yes. In my case it was so that once I got to my house and had an unusable signal my calls would auto forward to the house phone. Or simply turning off the phone would start the forwarding. Once back in range it would ring normally. I don't understand their long standing policy against such a feature and as such why the settings are even there if they don't work. It forces you to buy the voice mail feature. So if you have a Google Voice account you can forward the calls to your cell phone to there? How does that work? Does it forward automatically without ringing at your cell phone or does it direct it to Google Voice if you don't answer after so many rings? I too do not have voicemail but it would be nice to have calls directed somewhere if I can't or don't answer.
