Root 2 questions

1 (i asked this with no response) is there any 1.6 like launchers because ive used a g1 on 1.6 and its so simple and eaisy to use i wanna give it a try (im on BACKside)


and is it safe to change the PRL on the phone so it can roam? ive seen some tutoriols scattered on the interwebs taking the PRL froma optimus S and placing it in the V they said if anything it will give you better connections to sprints network

so is it somtyhing i should look into doing?
 
Changing the PRL will not allow you to roam. All the PRL does is update the Sprint tower list. Changing the PRL on your phone isn't something I would recommend you to do. Flashing a ROM yes, changing your PRL no. Just my 2 cents. ;)

yesah i guess youre right :P thanks now for an awnser to my first question
 
Launcher... no. I only use Go Launcher. A lot more settings and I like the look of it. Again, just my 2 cents. ;)
 
Every launcher had an app drawer key in the center normally. Here's my set up

Edit: virgin mobile is nation wide you can go any where in the US.

and i know but to like connect to VZW towers when they have coverage where sprint doesnt
 
Doesn't upgrading your prl give you access to more of sprints towers? (possibly. Or it could make no change at all) I didn't read far into it but from the little I saw it looked complicated and pretty risky

That is exactly right. It will not allow you to roam, but if sprint activated a closer tower to you the new PRL will allow you to access it. That's the basic of it.

i know sprint keeps some towers to themselvs and i want apeace of that action
 
Oops my bad. Although I remember with my sprint phone there was an update prl button in settings. So yeah, I don't see how you could get in legal trouble. Guess I should think things through more before I post them lol
