Help market 3.1.5 needs serious fixing

for example to remove all unnecessary bloatware which makes it even faster and extends battery life even more and to install unofficial roms which i find deffenetly better in overall than stock.
But it`s everyone own decision if you want to root or not.

do i have to make the porche example again? he already said the phone is fast enough, and u want it to be faster? if u add 100 more hp to porche r u going to beat my bike to the corner store?

so as you can see jaily he is havein NO PROBLEMS AT ALL on UNROOTED phone. how you explain that ? :D
depends on how he see the situation as problem
he might not think the slow loading market app is a problem, therefore he thinks he has no problem
do i need to explain common sense now?

I've shoved all of the bloatware (all of the hubs + a couple of other apps) into a folder called "Samsung Apps" so they're out of my way.

And it's fast enough/battery efficient enough for me.

I will probably root when I've had it for a while but for the time being it seems great to me. :D

good! if you are satisfied and happy with it that`s the way it should be isn`t it ? :)

and btw, do you have problem with "Slow loading market" after update to 3.1.5 ?

I haven't updated yet. It's not auto-updating.

Last time I installed a market by downloading the APK, it was that slow as crap 3.1.3 version so I might just wait until my phone upgrades of its' own accord :p

if he's not auto updating, that's his problem
the phone should update the market app automatically
and yes 3.1.3 was also slow, he has same problem as me

If your having lag problems go to manage applications scroll down to the market app and click clear cache and clear data.

Its worked for me in the past but I've not needed to do so in this latest version of market so if it doesn't work for you then I apologise unreservedly beforehand.

Okay, I've read enough....

This is a user-to-user site with many sections devoted to individual devices, the Samsung Galaxy S2 being one of them. It is not an official support site, Samsung has no presence or input here, and nobody owes anyone anything. If you want a guaranteed solution to a problem, take it up with the manufacturer and/or retailer.

The Market app will (normally) update automatically - that's how it works. The way to over-ride that is by rooting. If you're not prepared to root then you'll have to live with things as they are. Not happy with that? Take it up with Google.... as mere users nobody here has the power to change it.

Please try to remember that there is a huge range of experience amongst the tens of thousands of active AF members. We expect the same respect to be shown regardless of whether someone is a new user or a veteran enthusiast. People come here seeking or offering help and advice, not to be lectured, ridiculed or insulted.

If you can help, please post.
If you can't, then don't.
If someone offers advice, accept it with good grace as they're using their time to try to help you.
If advice doesn't work, explain why so that others can assist.

Finally, any repetition of the bickering and mud-slinging that I've seen in this thread will result in infractions. I advise everyone to reacquaint themselves with the Site Rules & Guidelines (links below) to avoid such unpleasantness.

Twinn is not a troll and yes you do not know what rooting trully does. It won't make market place better which its fine for me and fast and I had the new update before I rooted so that point is void. You can't get the old version back as this one is now standard.
You seem to be the only one with the problem and people have tried to help and explain turn updates off clean cache check other apps or connection. Even look for the old version as a download use google search.

Sorry Slug I was typing this as you posted

i did try clearing cache and data it got better for a while but slows down as data is filled up why is that

Every ones phone is different with regard to the variety of apps that can be running so something may be clashing so all you can do is install the latest version as it comes out and hope it sorts it out. If your certain version 2 worked for you then root and freeze the updater and go back to version 2.

At least my suggestion to clear cache and data works albeit on a temporary basis so if you don't want to root then at least you have a temp fix.

so basically the phone only allows so much cache to be stored once it's full it won't load anymore?

i'm not even trying to browse, i just want to see my apps, and it's stuck at loading for 5 min...

It's slow here, sometimes I can't even get into my apps, I just give up trying.

Either theres something wrong with the app or the market itself has been very slow over the last week

ok here's somethign i noticed: it works very well in my friend's house, wifi or 3g
however, when i come back to my house, both wifi and 3g is slow as hell
we are only 1km apart
