ISNT THIS THING GOOD ENOUGH!!!!JKJK LOL whatcha updating?
after further testing i have found that t /data wipe will cause bootloops when installing this ROM and i am trying to fix it.....

Glad you like it. I also wanna say thanks to you, ziggy, poler, & Mr Coffee for being around to test this when i first put it up you helped me get through what could have been a good couple of days waiting for testers in just a few hours by giving me quick reports on new builds.

yep, for some reason it needs the first boot data to be intact to flash it.
I am working on the permissions script needed to flash a stock data setup so it will be fooled but so far all i have gotten is a ROM bootable with /data wipe but kills the lockscreen. and i mean KILLS it other than that all seems to work so i just gotta get the permissions correct and i will have an ALT version

my bootloops might just be from the /data write in my ROM maybe if i take out non-sys apps and bootanimation.zip it will not bootloop on a /data wipe

my bad i should have put it in /data/app not /system/app you can just delete it with root explorer
or with adb
adb shell
su
rm /system/app/jackpal.androidterm-2.apk

gonna get to the bottom of this bootloop with data wipe problem and add a new keyboard soon.
I've been testing the HTC keyboard made by an XDA Dev and i gotta say its pretty nice with a lot of customization options so that might be the new default keyboard on the next build. (gives gingerbread keyboard a run for its money)

Found out that bootloops from /data wipe is due to the v1.1 update to the reboot & recovery MOD which adds the graceful shutdown.
I narrowed it down by eliminating all the customized files from a ROM ath bootlooped one by one and the when i realized it was in the 4 file replaced by the reboot & recovery MOD
i tried the original v1 (w/o graceful shutdown) and it booted fine with a /data wipe.
soooooooo..... gonna try and rebuild the reboot & recovery MOD in order to try and make the ROM boot w/ data wipe.
i wanna have my cake and eat it too.

4 files? I assume you mean 3, correct?

yeah i mean three.. i only get a bootloop with the graceful version 1.1 what code did you change to get the graceful shutdown and could there be a reason that is causing a conflict when compared to the working v1 MOD
I had to add some code into the framework.jar file.

I might have messed up with the frequent updates to this ROM while i was still working on it; although due to unforeseen complications (HDD crash) i have stopped supporting this ROM as of its last update until i get a chance to set up a new linux box. Sorry, when gingerbread (CM7) came out there was no reason to keep using this.
