So what do you think about the Rezound/Vigor?

I'm going to be the voice of dissent and say that while I love the phone and I'm looking forward to buying it on day one, the back is not my favorite. Why couldn't they have made it look like the Sensation except just for Verizon?

Haha, yeah...since you initially helped me with the Incredible thanks to this board and my whoring ways, I'm buying a new phone every 7-9 months or so. In my defense, with the Mrs.'s Incredible acting up and her desire for my Thunderbolt, this phone seems to be a no-brainer.
And I'm with you regarding the hockey season...I'm dying for some Pens love. Take it easy, man and enjoy the forum madness.

While I don't know what the back of the Sensation looks like, I kind of agree with you regarding the back cover of the Vigor. Personally, I think the back of the TB is gorgeous and I don't know how I feel about the Vigor, but it's what this thing's packing under the hood that has me pumped.

I'm not too worried about the back. I will most likely have some kind of case on it, even if it is something like the Incipio 'feather' I had one on my Dinc and it saved it from damage from drops twice.

Welcome back eipee73. I remember you from the original DINC waiting sweepstakes threads. I follow the Pens a little, love to watch Crosby skate, but I am a major Steeler fan. One of thousands here in N. Idaho.

Let's hope this thing is out soon so the obsession can be abated! :o

Basically its the running assumption over in the Nexus/Droid/Galaxy Prime threads. Several posters are surmising that due to the higher pixel density of the higher res HD screens they're thinking this may offset the current lacking of Pentile. Again, its all just loose assumptions that several people are running with.

Either way, I'm wanting this thing to come out now. My DINC is pretty well beat to hell and gives me the good old "Application Space Low" warning every other day. It was good while it lasted, but i'm a tech whore...I need NEW. Just glad I didn't jump all over the Thunderbolt and held out a little so I didn't have so much money tied up in my own obsession for expensive toys.
 
I'm more than ready myself. My Incredible has seen better days. I can't log into the market for some odd reason, the clip on my holster is broken, my charger plug is beat up, my phone is dinged up here and there....bring on the Vigor!

I hope it's actually called Vigor, cause lets face it...its a badass name!
 
So correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the tbolt bootloader unlocked by the community in like 3 days? If so that makes me optimistic about the Vigor bootloader being unlocked quickly.
 
I haven't seen this posted (sorry if it's been discussed), and I'm not sure if this is the right thread (mods please move if needed), but I just found this on the official VZW Accessory page:

Only 3 accessories, and they're nothing special, but they're listed as "Accessories for: Vigor by HTC." I don't know when this was posted or how often it's updated but maybe this also means that the phone will not be called "Rezound" after all?!?!

Although the name still "could" change, it is more confirmation that we're getting close :)
 
does the evo 3d suffer from the same quick drop in battery percentage from 100% to 86% that the EVO4G had? if so, that would be my only hesitation in jumping to VZW for this phone....

Nice find! I'm down with the name Vigor. I wish they would just release it already!
 
In almost all leaks, the name has been Vigor, with sprinklings of INC HD and Rezound. Here is my question: Are all "code names" (i.e. Vigor) trademarked, as it shows on the VZW accessories page? I really don't remember it that way. Seems to point pretty soundly at Vigor being the name from here on out.

Thanks. October starts tomorrow. let's hope we get another MAP leak. If we do, that should tell us the final name of this phone, whether or not it's releasing in October, and if so, on which day.

IMO Vigor is better than Rezound, but I'm getting this bad boy no matter what they call it.

Do you happen to know if these things leak right on the first of the month? Or were you just referring to that fact that tomorrow starts October and another leak should happen soon? Sorry, I'm dying for this thing, haha.

My understanding is that VZW publishes and distributes a new MAP list on the first of each month. In my experience, when there's a big announcement or two expected it usually leaks within a day or two...but who knows...I guess it depends on how generous the ninjas are feeling...

In case you can't tell, I'm dying for this thing too!
