So what do you think about the Rezound/Vigor?

Okay, I just found another gem (okay, this one's really small, but promising just the same) on the VZW web site. Recently, we saw the accessory page go live for the Vigor. In doing so, we learned that the phone ID that Verizon is using on the web site for that phone is "5723." Today, going to the main VZW page, I tried typing "Vigor" into the search box. Nothing. Then I tried "5723." Link to support page found! This search result was not there last week.

Now, the page itself is not live yet, but there is a search result that clearly links to the page. You can verify this by typing "5716" (the phone ID for the Bionic) into the search box and clicking the same link which takes you to the support page to the Bionic (in addition to many other links). For further confirmation, I tried random numbers and got "We're sorry, we didn't find any results for xxxx."

I know it's small, but between building these new links into the official site, and refining the look of the accessory page found last week, we are definitely getting closer, albeit not fast enough!!

Now we can return to drooling over pics and specs, right NightAngel79?:D

Actually, I just read the recent twitter history of TeamAndIRC, and unfortunately, it looks like he's not talking about the Vigor, but might be talking about the Prime.:( Oh well.
 
With the iPhone 4s coming out in 3g, I think the Vigor is going to sell much better than it would have if the iPhone was 4g. Not sure why they decided not to adopt 4g (i am guessing battery life)... Hopefully HTC makes enough of these things to go around!

As nearly as I can tell, it's because the 4s is a single phone that work on any carrier. Saves them money but is stupid if your on Verizon. I wouldn't touch a phone without LTE for VZW anyway at this point.

I thought the same thing because he was teasing about it, but JCase (TeamAndIRC) reported, today, that there are actually two working exploits for the Vigor. I knew to trust Kellex (@droid_life) because he seems to be spot on most of the time.

Yeah, Kellex is definitely solid. I just saw that after I read your post. Great news and great find!

All we need now is some solid info on actual impressions and release, and we'll be all set:D One of the members of the Android community who is both well known and known to be connected recently hinted that October is definitely the month. Other then that, there's been surprisingly little on this phone.

The waiting game continues...

I haven't heard anything about it. Come to think of it, besides the Holiday, I haven't heard of any HTC Android phones rumored to be coming with NFC. Given that both the Amaze(although one article I read cited NFC as an Amaze spec) and Sensation XE don't have it, I'm not holding out hope that the Vigor will either. Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised.
 
Last year when I was looking for my first smartphone, i somehow found these forums. It was before the launch of the Incredible and I spent hours reading those huge threads! LOL

I am not too "techie", but I am looking forward to this phone! I love my Incredible, but it's time for a new one and this is the first phone I have been interested in! I am so glad that Apple's announcement was a NOT for a 4g version of the Iphone!! I am due for an upgrade but promised my DH that he could have the upgrade if the Iphone was 4g. But since it's not, he doesn't want it so now I am free to get a new phone!!

I am excited for this phone and can't wait for launch!! And thanks for posting all the great information to help me make my decision!! ;)

Ha, you're in the same boat I was. I was around for the massive threads for the Incredible and now have returned to get some info about this thing. Welcome back!
