Help Broswer history erased from battery dying? Help please!

Hello,

I hope someone can help figure out this mystery. A friend that uses the Sprint HTC EVO 4G has told me that when the phone shuts down suddenly from a dead battery the internet history/browser history is wiped because it's stored in a cache that is reset when it reboots from dying like that. Has anyone here ever heard of this phenomenon associated with any of these phones? I am very much a novice when it comes to smart phones, but I have never heard of such a thing and would think it must be something else deleting the history. Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated.. thanks so much ^____^!!

not sure about when the phone suddenly dies from no battery, but when you power down your phone and reboot it, your phone will clear out all caches. it is called a soft reset. when it does this any temporary data is deleted. so i would not be surprised of the browser history is deleted like that. now when the phone dies because of battery life, i'm not sure if the phone knows that this is gonna happen and makes plans to shut down and clear cache before there is no more juice left. our evos are pretty smart so maybe this is the case.
