So, what means "Stock"?

I generally take "stock" to mean the default configuration of a device. "Stock" Droid X for me is MotoBLUR.

Edit: I'm not a spec "whore". I'd love the top tier tech in the phone but that's not the most important thing for me.

LTE + Google Experience + Relatively powerful innards + Sexy design + Decent battery = Sold

i don't care whether it has 5MP or 8MP. my main concern with respect to cameras is more about responsiveness...that aspect of the iP4s presentation did strike a chord with me. the ip3gs is soooooo slow to take photos that I can never get a picture of my kid when I want. anyway here's hoping the responsiveness of this one will be acceptable.

Even with an OMAP 4460 it's going to blow away anything I'm used to with this OG Droid... and the 1750MAh battery is marginally satisfactory but expected with such a slim form factor. I'm a happy camper! :D

The only thing that disappoints me from the list is the lack of micro-sd support. 32gb will suffice, but I would love to have the ability to expand it further.

1750 mAh battery? I'm not pleased with that. Otherwise, these specs have me VERY excited. 32GB is more than enough for me.

I don't know how you're going to fit all your Star Wars movies on there, Chief. I trust they're not the new Blu-ray versions?

And what about 1.2 GHz? This is just SHSII, nothing special... I expected some massacre, and there is going to be a little jazz..

I'm not disappointed in the least over 1.2 GHz. The Bionic seemed very smooth for me when I played with it in the store (and that's with a bunch of extra apps installed and who knows what stuff other customers did to it), and that's just 1.0.

This phone will be fast and smooth. If you want to overclock it, I don't think that would be a problem either.

I know we were hoping for better specs then what we have just seen.
Lets just hope this is another rumor..:(

I don't know. I'm really pleased. It's pretty much what I was expecting. But remember, with all the hype we've piled on this thing, it wasn't going to live up to everyone's expectations. But it does mine!

I just texted my sister thanking her for telling me about the no-TouchWiz and no DROID branding. Seems she was right.

And is it me, or is the name just perfect?

GALAXY NEXUS

Most of us here wanted either a Galaxy S II or the Nexus. Seems we're getting both in one phone!

I'm tickled. Simply tickled. Giggling while I'm being tickled. Almost peeing in my pants as I'm giggling and being tickled.

It won't be an exclusive forever. It will slowly head to the other carriers.

Ah ok.

Well this was not the beast of a phone that it has been hyped to be, but still going to be a sure purchase. Lets just hope sooner rather then later.

So with moderate use and the specs we have, how long on average will a 1750 mAh battery last (on 4G)?

Not my expectations. If they want to make iphone-killer, they should make something better. If this specs are true, not this time.

I guess your right. I was hoping for the SGSII-HD. Thanks for pointing this all out....:)

Taking into consideration the HD screen (I'm actually hoping it will be PenTile; I don't think it will look pixelated at that high a resolution, will save energy, and will be very readable in direct sunlight. . ), 4G on 24/7, screen size, and 1750 mAh, you're probably looking at 12 hours on moderate use.

If you're using it heavily, probably 6.

But I don't have a problem plugging it in at work. It's on my desk all day anyway.

I'm just upset that it isn't the new samsung soc or atleast the 4470
Would've been nice, but I don't think anything's shipping w/4470 until early 2012.

Good point. I want excellent low-light capture also.

Ditto, and I'm not convinced it's only 1.2GHz.

Do we know it has no micro-SD support, other than it wasn't mentioned in the leaked specs?

Jungle cat, the iPhone killed itself. This thing will kick the carcass for the next year or two.
