ok honestly...

exynos 4212 or a underlclocked OMAP 4460 @1.2GHz?

always remember: The Nexus P_____ was in CTIA's "Gaming and Entertainment Enthusiast"-Category, and the exynos 4212 is enhanced for 3D graphics rendering, better processing power and less power consumption... so my decision is already made ;)

damn i want the vz_wired guy to agree to the exynos 4212... :/

Over 550?

I don't know, you tell me. I don't know anything you don't!

But yeah, I'm guessing it will be $600 off contract. Oh, how many pizzas, Bears tickets, and Cubs donations that would buy!

Dammit I'm so hungry. I could eat my Droid right now.

Oh, um, I also heard that the Nexus will be black in color. At least partially.

I just can't see how the phone in the two leaked videos, one of which was leaked this morning, is the same phone that Samsung/Google teased in the CTIA "Something Big Is Coming" video. It doesn't seem like the same phone, at all. Am I the only one who feels this way?

exactly... he only showed the front of it and not the side, that we already know from the teaser...

Thank you! Yes the one leaked today doesn't seem nearly as appealing. I'm inclined to believe that its not the final version, at least not for Verizon.

Did anyone see the X Factor last night? We Tivo'd it and watched it when we got home. That little fat girl is AMAZING!
Oh Solo why must it be the fat kid...... i cant stop LOL :D:D:D

I would love to believe you, or for VZ to confirm what you're saying. But are we sure that the NP was the Gaming and Entertainment finalist? I was thinking it was probably the Galaxy Note.

But who knows. I sure don't. Please be right, r4yN, you beautiful German.

Please.

I'm. . . .so. . . .hungry. . . .and. . . . .. . . . . . . .and sad.

+1 to that.

Maybe we should think of the Prime as +1 anyway since it's likely masterwork?

No you aren't. My feeling is that this is a video of an earlier tester device. Just because the video was hosted in Romania, by the way, doesn't mean it was filmed there. :p

I think it's on an older test device with an older version of ICS...and I'm sticking to that.

Dammit I'm so hungry. I didn't get lunch today because I had to cover for someone. All I ate was a little thing of yogurt and some peanuts. Last night I took the wife to Giordanos. Perfect pizza, for anyone who is planning on visiting Chicago at some point. There isn't anything better.

Right now, though, all I'm thinking about is picking up some take out from the Moon Garden (chinese), and Diane Kruger. Both equally tasty.

At least you had that. I'm going on half a bottle of water right now...

Yeah, I wish he could confirm the processor too. That would help us formulate a VERY good idea about how high or low spec'd the rest of the phone will be. I'm definitely hoping for the Exynos, as well. I think it's doable, as well. Despite what some have said about there being "no way in hell" that it could be in a phone that is released in Q4.

At one point, I found myself obligated to read EVERY post here no matter how negative or filled with stuff that I didn't understand as far as this whole processor debate. Now, since they cancelled the announcement for Tuesday, I find myself skipping post that aren't by vz_wired and ones that don't have links. :( I don't know if I should be worried about myself or not, this is ridiculous. Luckily, my X is chugging along so I don't NEED a new phone but this one is on my radar and in my sights so I really want some info and I need for people to stop contradicting the great ideas as it's giving me a headache. lol I understand we all have an opinion though so I like nothing more than a good debate so I'm not mad about it at all, just heartbroken that they put off this announcement as it's about the best concrete evidence of anything that we would get to hear. Oh well, it's not gonna deter me from hitting that f5 key to refresh this page to make sure I don't miss a thing! lol :D

well CTIA listed a device that hasn't been announced yet... but the Galaxy Note has been announced at IFA already...

the CTIA list is still avaiable and still "a product to be announced by samsung..."

edit: notice the date (22. sept), IFA was around 8-11. sept

in case you missed my post on the last page, have a look at the chart and when the 4212 is being released :)

thats only speculation, because it was said to be sampled to select customers, they expect first devices to come out 2012... but its an samsung own processor and it is possible that they already use it for their own devices and will allow other devices to use them, too, but sometime later...

and the GPU of the 4212 is speculated, too, because there haven't been any official statements about it ;)

Lions Bears, Monday Night.

Winner will be a playoff contender. (Lions)

Loser will be shown up as pretenders (Bears)

I'm a Bears fan, but I know crap when I see it. And the giant turd is named Martz.

There is a lot more wrong with the team than just Mike Martz. As a season ticket holder for the past 10 years, I'm upset in the direction the team has headed. There are so many holes that need to be addressed it is disheartening to see where it is heading.

And I reallllly want to leave work early today but am afraid to miss something crucial here today. *sigh* OH and I just need a few more posts to get to 100!

I know what you mean about missing something crucial. (I have a while for the 100 posts). I keep thinking that any minute some news is coming that says they really will be announcing it Tuesday. I have spent far to much time in this forum lately.

As a fellow B5 nerd, did you watch BSG?

(Trying to push you to 100 before you have to leave!) :D

Everyone imagine with me for a second...

If YOU got to hold the Nexus, the one teased in the "Something Big Is Coming" video from Samsung/Google, and you had a video camera, do you think there is ANY WAY IN HELL you wouldn't video the entire phone? That thing would basically be paper-thin in your hand. Probably the thinnest, most powerful phone with the biggest most beautiful screen you've ever seen, and it's in your hand. You're telling me you wouldn't show off how amazingly thin and beautiful the phone is? OF COURSE YOU WOULDN'T. Neither would these guys taking video and leaking these videos. Why aren't they showing off the rest of the phone, besides just the operating system? Because the phone is a thick piece of junk and is a test device, perhaps. If that phone they are showing on video is extremely thin and gorgeous like the one in the Samsung/Google teaser video, they'd show it off. That leads me to believe that the phone they got on video IS NOT the phone that Google/Samsung is going to announce as "Something Big Is Coming." If that is the phone they're going to announce to usher in Android 4.0, then they need to call the video "Something Blah Is Coming" because that phone in the leaked video is blah, at best. From what I can see.

You just articulated what has been bothering me about that vid, but couldn't put my finger on.

The screen was too "level" for what I expected from the profile of the "something big is coming" pic.

The lack of announcement is kind of what I was referring to when I said that in the past Verizon let us down at such events. I remember when they were "supposed" to announce the Incredible at the same even that the Evo was announced. VZW backed off and the Incredible thread went bonkers.

At least this time around they're warning us. I do believe it won't affect debut date, just my .02.

edit: top of the page, ftw!

ok, so you're telling me something that's sampling sometime THIS quarter, is also going to release in a phone that's already been manufactured and is ready to be released?

and the 4460 was sampling back in q1 and might not even make it out this year according to some rumors. how do you explain the difference?
