1. I can't get my contacts on my mac to synch with google so I can get them on the phone.
Step 1 - Address Book, All Contacts, File->Export->Export Group vCard...
Step 2 - login to Gmail on web via Mac
Step 3 - Contacts (link in the left of the page, upper area, below colorful Gmail logo)
Step 4 - More (dropdown) -> Import -> browse to saved vCard file on your Mac
(optional - After that point, choose to remove duplicates using the More (dropdown) in the event that you started adding things to your phone by hand and your contacts start to get tangled - OR - if you just want to be clean from Address Book, simply delete all Google Contacts on the web first, then complete the Import.)
Step 5 - wait a moment and contacts will sync from cloud to phone automagically
Once you are SURE that all of your updates to your phone are complete, if you want this to all auto-sync together, depending upon your OS X revision:
Address Book -> Preferences ... click to sync with Google, follow prompts from there.
Hope this helps!
