I think Verizon fed GB to the Gremlins and Ghouls.

I guess I am lucky. In the 15+ months of having the Dink I have not had any issues. Still love it.

The Vigor really has my attention but tempted to wait on the first power house HTC with ICS. I guess it depends on how patient I am once the Vigor come available.

Same here, I'm waiting on the Vigor, but right now depends on when exactly it comes out and what else is on the near horizon.

I still could see it taking till mid next year for anything but a token ICS phone to show up on VZW

So what exactly is it about ICS that you want?

I hope the delay means they're trying to fix the "no speech heard" while driving issue.

Is this also a known bug with the update?

I'm rooted and this doesn't appy to me, but I did notice the GPS audio wasn't working the other day on my boss' phone, but thought it might have had something to do with the fact that he had bluetooth activated at the time?

Add me to the list of people who "never had an issue before Gingerbread, but since I got it my phone won't work right...." I get the low space error, my Gmail won't sync so email doesn't work, and Gtalk won't launch. Any ideas on the Gmail and Gtalk issues?

No GB of any functional quality will be pushed. They tried, they failed, Just enough stalling and silence until our focus turns to new better powerful superdeluxe. The sign of things to come I'm afraid

What are you talking about. They've already pushed out gingerbread of "functional quality". The version they pushed out was far more functional then alot of software Samsung or Motorola has put on their devices.

Look, the software is 99% there. It has a couple of minor bugs, that's it. Minor bugs that have mostly already been fixed (either by a patch by HTC, or fixed in roms).

Silence is VZW modus operandi. It often takes upwards of 4 weeks to test updates when ready. It is more likely they would announce they would NOT be updating than they annouce they WILL. So silence makes it much more likely they will update.

I was bored... poll updated:)

Voted before xmas just to give you guys some hope. I imagine they'll get out an update if for no other reason than to patch up some of the phones that didn't react well to the former OTA. I bet if they had it to do over again, they'd say screw it though. <---Complete conjecture on my part.

Ok, here's another reason to ROOT. Nils just released version 1.5 of his Business Gingersense which includes the newest Sense 3.5 plus Tiny's Kernel!

[ROM] Nils' Business GingerSense 3.5 - GB 2.3.5 - (10/6/11 v1.5) - xda-developers

99% there , is like being 99% alive. The 1% still makes you dead

Didn't push it to me. I'm still waiting.

It's supposed to have a couple nice things like getting rid of the soft buttons for more space. Which is going to end up being a dividing line hardware wise.

That said, that's why I'm waiting until at least the Vigor comes out to check and see where things stand and what the pro's and con's will be.

As much as I like my Dinc. I REALLY don't see me holding off more then till like Feb. of next year (my contract is up end of Dec.)

Is everything functioning ? Sms,mms, bluetooth, gps? I use it all with my stock DInc

So far so good Mungus. Bluethooth works as I paired it to my Solar Powered Motorola Bluetooth speaker phone. GPS found my location very quickly, and SMS / MMS work good too. No complaints so far. I can never go back to stock now after using this. There are lots of different options, and tweaks you can do, like changing the battery icon on the top, changing the signal status, and even changing the color of the notifications tab.

Give it a shot!! It's like getting a whole new phone, really.

I've said it a few times before that I was going to root, but never got around to it. After seeing those pictures of the new nils gingersence, I'm really going to have to sit down and figure this s**t out! I'm stuck with this phone for another year, yet this makes it new. Time to finally dive in!

I would've added these options to the poll:

• Sometime after the sun goes supernova
• The day after the apocalypse
• Immediately after Jimmy Hoffa's body is found.
• The day O.J. catches the "real killers."
• Any minute now

Hmm, good point.....

Well....this thread is a bit more entertaining and less frustrating since I had gotten my Inc. 2 which came with GB already on it. This thing is great...except it just feels like there's something missing. Trying to pinpoint what it is.....hmmmmm. Wait!!....I know.....I miss seeing the "low data space warning"...NOT!!!!.....LOL.

Ditto! Missin' my 8 gigs of internal storage though.

Anyone unhappy with an Inc2 can send it to me and I will happily send you my Inc with GB. It is functioning fairly well except the battery life is slightly less than with Froyo.

Same deal for my rooted Incredible. I'd also take a Thunderbolt or bionic, if you're trying to get rid of it :)
