It depends really. I'm am going to venture to guess that the GSM version will be out shortly after or perhaps even around the same time as Verizons. I personally suspect it will be out quicker since they were going to announce the GSM version at CTIA.

Worse case scenario you get it shortly after (which I don't see happening) best case scenario the GSM releases first (which I see happening)

*best scenario: exynos 4212 + 4G LTE + GSM + launch before / equal to the verizon launch

sry i had to do this...

i need to keep the 71% of processor-comments alive :D

I need an official announcement now. I work for UPS and had a dream last night that i had a delivery for 1600 amphitheatre pkwy. I was there bothering Google employees for specs and a release date. I managed to get a hold of the phone while i was there. Great phone by the way. haha

Agree. I like the way the Moto looks in comparison to the Prime in the OP. Too bad Moto fouls up their devices with their crappy UI, locked/encrypted bootloaders and WebTop.

3 strikes and they are outta here!!!!!!

true. but, Blur and Webtop can be solved by unlocking the BL. as always, the key is the BL. i raised this before, but since it seems that the Spyder may have been Moto's candidate for the Nexus (that Google passed over) i wonder if the BL might at least be similar to the OG, and easily unlocked??? ....or, once Moto got passed over for the Nexus, could they just go back and encrypt the BL like all other Moto devices??

Every few seconds, I refresh and I see a few more posts :D

Great way to avoid boredom, if not a good way to settle your nerves. I'll just say what everyone's been saying, I really need this phone to come out soon, so I can have my life back :P

Been lurking on this thread for a few days, finally decided to join up

Yeah I'm sure once they put their UI and WebTop on it the shackles came along with it.

OK, I have been quiet around here (AF) since my TB was rooted but I must say that I am beginning to geek out on this phone! Any idea what BB retail price may be? I did the BB buy-back program with TB. Please hurry Samsung/Google/Verizon!

This is just a prediction but it's based on a) the "importance" of this phone for Moto and b) their earlier promises about unlockable bootloaders: I believe the Spyder will be the first phone from Moto with an unlockable bootloader.

We'll find out soon enough. :)

Hi all. I have been following this thread since I first heard about the Prime which I believe was thousands of posts ago after the disappointment when I learned Verizon was passing on the GS2. I started curious about the phone and I now am as rabid as most of you for the release, or at least some concrete date. Since anticipation is so high around here, I thought I could contribute a point of perspective, and as you read on, quite a laugh! I am WAY overdue for an upgrade (still have my last NE2). How overdue? I am still rockin' a... wait for it... Samsung Omnia i910! Check out the specs I am coming from, surely I will pass out when I first use the Prime!

When hell freezes over. As long as WebTop and their UI resides on the phone they won't unlock it. Now if they release a vanilla device I say there is a chance. Other than that fuggetaboutit

I thought I remember Motorola say they were not going to lock bl anymore starting in late 2011. Did I misread that ?
