no.. im not sure what file explorer your using on ur phone, i use root explorer, but when you go into the video folder, i cant remember if there is another folder inside containing the .png files.. i think they are just in the video folder, but anyway, if you just copy over those pngs with other images in sequence, you will change the boot and shutdown animation. the one that says metropcs, witht he blue ovalish thing moving, on most android phones this animation is contained ina zip file with the images and a txt file telling the system what sequence to play them in, that file may or may not exist int he video folder on your phone, im not sure as i only had a few minutes to look at my buddies phone.. we work together so i only really see him at work.. dont have much time there to check stuff out.. but if you were to say, take the images fromt he bootanimation.zip i linked above, and rename them and place them in that folder, you would effectively replace the animation sequence, the other 2 files, im not sure of the format, but if you were to open them in say photoshop or something, you could also replace the images in those as well.. im not sure how many frames they are,, from whati saw they were pretty static, once i get a change to look at my buddies phone again ill post my findings for you
