Just go use your upgrade to buy a iphone 4S, sell it on Ebay or Craigslist and voila, you'll have enough cash to buy the nexus.

I don't think Verizon lets you, do they? Don't you have to register a phone you get thru an upgrade on your number for a certain amount of time or they make you pay full retail?

While we wait for Steven - have we seen this rumor?

Will the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Be a Best Buy Exclusive?

Huh. I don't remember hearing if it's true, but I have Best Buy reward points I need to use so that'd be fine with me anyway.

1) Source not sure whether it will be selling online pre-order or not.

2) Scheduled to be sold in VZW stores 11/3 but there is a LOT of tension, now, between VZW and Samsung/Google for the past two days and things are not looking good. There has been a lot problems regarding marketing, shipping quantities, (there might be other stores offering the Nexus at the same time on Verizon contract). There are other problem which our "source" can't get into.

4) Had these issues turned up beforehand the project might have been scrapped (nipped in the bud).

5) VZW people (identifying information deleted) are excited about November 3rd and having a great phone (we love phones, too). But a lot of (certain vzw people-identifying info deleted) are having anxiety attacks over things that are not firmly in their control.

That's today's epistle!

God I hope VZW doesn't screw the pooch on this...

Okay. Say something happened right now and Verizon backed out. The devices compatible with Verizon already have what they need right? So, something happens, we can still get our hands on a device that is capable of running on verizon, right? Unless vzw didn't allow people to activate them.

Do you have a feel for whether any of the issues are technical ones? If it's just inter-corporate bickering, maybe we shouldn't care so much as long as we can get the phones in our hot little hands.

Please Verizon, get over yourself and your monstrous ego. Focus instead on giving us good phones at a decent price instead of pissing off your customers.

Well this probably explains why Verizon hasn't been reported to be present at the unveiling on Tuesday (and instead will be showing us some stupid rusty razor).

Scheduled to be, but things not looking good? Not looking good?!

What the heck is going on around here.

I am just hoping that Verizon has sunk enough money into this that they will just begrudgingly take it. Even without having completely control over every single little thing (thank god).

They are still going to make a lot of money on the device so I just don't get their position.

hmmm doesn't really change anything for me.

my plan is/has always been to wait about 2 weeks after release before getting it anyway. Maybe by then all the kinks will be worked out.

Yeah, that's if they're the same kinks you're thinking.

A major kink (such as scrapping it altogether) won't change in 2 weeks. Especially if we see it unveiled for the whole world EXCEPT Verizon on Tuesday.

:confused::confused::confused:
