***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Hmm, I don't see how that's possible unless Razr, Vigor launch with ICS on board.

someone mentioned earlier an article from earlier in the year that google would announce ICS with multiple devices at launch. pretty good strategy if they are truly trying to get rid of manufacturer skins. he also doesn't say that verizon would have multiple ICS devices. maybe he meant multiple carriers. either way, i like it.

Whatever the case, I think I'll go with the Nexus unless Samsung releases another phone. I'm done with Moto unless they follow through on the bootloader issue and, after playing with my Manager's Thunderbolt, HTC is a non-starter.

I guess the tthing about Isis to me is that there's more than just Verizon in that boat, what is at&t going to do with the gsm version - it should be the same deal with Google Wallet.

Vigor/Rezound (Wow that name sucks) will have Sense 3.5 so it can't be stock and the Razr doesn't look stock in any of the leaked photos.

He didn't specifically say Verizon either.

That's my point. So there is no way those devices get updated to ICS in just few months by the end of year. I don't know if he meant some other phones on other carriers. But I don't see any other carrier phones that can come with ICS this year either.

I meant HP/TouchPad, and I'm almost positive Best Buy mutinied while the TouchPad was still officially for sale w/HP insisting full support.

FWIW, I do think it will probably get worked out w/some large scale negotiation and that Nexus will ship on time. But... it might not.

I know which one you meant when I read it unedited. ;)

If I remember the timeline I was reading HP called it quits on Web OS and then Best Buy said, "Well get these square paper weights the hell out of here."

I may be confusing the dates though.

In the end, I agree with you. I think everything will ship fine and dandy.

I found that some what interesting because let's be honest, there isn't much left of this year to announce and ship something.

Unless he means upgrades of existing devices... Read his latest tweet about Nexus One
It would be amazing if ICS could unify hardware that is that old.. i doubt it .. but let's wait till Tuesday and see

The google wallet /Isis stuff is ongoing.. Lawyer speak and such. if they can get it agreed upon great.. If not?? #11hourchanges

Changes are fine. I can live without this having Google Wallet / Isis at launch. I just have to have this phone. My Thunderbolt must go.

I do not think that Verizon wants Google to remove apps off the phone.
I think its the other way around. Verizon wants stuff add (Bloat)

If Verizon wanted stuff removed, Google would just release the apps as an add on. (download).

^^^^^OPINION^^^^^

Some would argue that that depends on the day or even the hour. I would say that despite the poems and double talk he knows som'n. ;)

Yea, I'm thinking that too.. I'm still not worried about the "legal" issues though, this phone WILL be on schedule... I hope...

4 minutes without a post.. .(steven gets f5 withdrawal)

I was right there with you. I'm all worked up about this Google Wallet/Isis thing.. time to just "chill"

If Verizon is paying ANY attention to this thread for real, hopefully they would realize that there is a large enough following of this device that they should be concerned with keeping/getting those customers. Also, that the group is small enough that I'm sure whatever negatives they see are minimal.

That's just me though.

Seems like BMX already confirmed? I cant remember, is he a reliable source??

It's hard to say. He has been so cryptic with his tweets, but I think the general consensus is that he is trustworthy. Once the announcement has been made, he will be either proven reliable, or exposed as a liar. I expect the former though.

I have no doubt the phone will be on schedule. What I do doubt is the supply and if it will be offered pre-purchase. Other "sellers" are gonna have it too. I assume that means Best Buy, so inventory is an issue. It may be a Droid Incredible deal, where there was a severe shortage of DIncs in the beginning.

Official Mod edit: TOP OF THE PAGE!!! w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
