are you sure that it has a qualcomm-soc?

Without question, the Samsung Galaxy S II on T-Mobile uses the Qualcomm S3.

In other regions, the SGS2 uses the Tegra-2.

So, whatever the Gnex is going to perform like - I'll bet it's going to be very smooth, right out of the box.

I guess why I'm so upset is because I thought seriously about drinking it.
After seeing it? Not so much.

Well, you know (one of my) battle cry - when someone makes the perfect phone, I'm sure we'll all buy it. And then we'll go mod the intelligent washing machine forums because there won't be anything left to discuss here.

Until then, this is Android where we just have more choices all the way around.

Take two free apps from the Market and call me in the morning.

Best,
Dr. Early

:D ;)

Exactly. Unlimited data, LTE and a 24% discount through me wife's employer means I'm not going anywhere. It's cheaper for me to stay with Verizon then it would be to go to Sprint. Another thing is that Verizon already has LTE in my area and Sprint does not have 4G in my area but would still charge me for it. No thanks. T-mobile doesn't have great service in many areas of my state.

it really is case case basis which is best carrier for each person imo. In my particular case vzw and att are about same phone quality wise. No lte in this area. 20 dollar difference per month is what makes att better option for me. T mobile does have best plans but can't get service anywhere around here

Finishing up my tenure on my Droid X. You promised me the keys to the bootloader. You lied. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. If you need me, I'll be sporting the new Galaxy Nexus. :D

By the by, Android Forums has a "friend" feature. It really doesn't do much, but it's there. I have a lot of friends. :p If anyone here wants to "friend" me, you're more than welcome. I'll accept you all, as I call you all my friends and brethren in this trench warfare. :D

I'm with you. I'm ready to leave my EVO 4G. Not because it's a terrible phone, but because the Now Network has really been letting me down lately. I'm ready for dual core, curved glass, and stock Android.

The phone is there, somewhere.

I guess we already suspected/new this, but at the end of the article it asks if you you are going to wait for the bloatware free Galaxy Nexus. Which also isn't a surprise, but I think will relax some of the fears in here that they deal with VZW is going to fall through.

Motorola

Questions:
1) Does it have a notification LED? If so is it multi-colored?
2) How many mics does it have? How about noise-canceling?
3) Is the screen Gorilla Glass (to stop arguments like in the DX forum)?
4) Will it be available for pre-order?
5) Price on and off contract?

A lot of my questions will be answered by just seeing it.

Oh, I am going mad with anticipation and worry, everyone. I have a bad feeling about the announcement. Wouldn't there be a deluge of leaks of some sort this close? Why is Verizon scheduling an announcement of their own, with RAZR, on the same date? Why won't Verizon be in Hong Kong?

I have done the unthinkable, ladies and gentlemen. I have changed my launcher to something drastic, in case I am screwed yet again by Verizon and have to go with a different phone. Hopefully this launcher will prepare me for what is to come in the near future.

Yes, it is safe for work. But you shall be disgusted nonetheless. Go ahead, have a peek. :(

And don't call me a traitor. I'm not one yet. But if Verizon screws me as they usually do, I won't care anymore. I won't. :(

I brought up the possibility of the RAZR shipping with ICS a couple of thousand posts ago, but alas it was met with derision and/or outright dismissal. While that was disappointing, it was not surprising.

Having said that, didn't Steven's love tunnel say that the main advantage over RAZR was that the Galnexusaurus would have ICS? Meaning that RAZR wouldn't?

Of course, it would be a simple thing to simply flash a different OS to the already finished build, so I guess that doesn't mean much.

Oh well. Who knows.

The question I have on the Razr is does it have hardware buttons? I guess for ICS to be backwards compatible it would have to work with either button configuration (on-screen and hardware).

Leaked pictures of the RAZR have shown capacitive buttons. I'm sure ICS has the capacity to detect capacitive buttons and simply hide the software buttons in that case (although I think instead of software buttons, you'll probably just have a black bar where they'd normally be).

I don't think they keep those posts on the page. It'll probably get deleted but nicely done.

Well, if Verizon screws this up, the SGS 3 sounds nice!

2GB RAM, 1.8 GHz Exynos 4212, etc. I think I know what r4yN's fall back plan is.

Of course, Verizon probably wouldn't carry it, so. . .

Is it Tuesday yet? Aggggghhhh. And I have a full day of work tomorrow and Tuesday, too. The days will be interminable.

I just hope I don't log on here late Tuesday night and see nothing but rage, "I'm leaving, Verizon"'s that won't come true, and general sobbing.

Your loss. It's pure genius.....

calling somebody you don't even know a dbag based on their attire? That sounds a little dbaggy to me :) just saying

I never said I wasn't dbaggy! Who said I wasn't? I want names, brah. :p

And seriously, I didn't call him a Dbag, I merely said he looked like one. If someone saw me in person, they would think I was a movie star, but I'm really not.

See, I am a Dbag! lol

Seriously, can you give me a hint of what the video is about? Just like a one-sentence hint. I am curious now, I must admit. . .
