Are you planning on buying the Incredible HD/Vigor/Rezound?

We've shared the agonizing wait line before and survived.

I seem to recall being in that line as well. :D

I have the first release Inc with the amoled screen and have had no problems with the speaker in fact my phone is rooted running http://androidforums.com/incredible-roms/415978-rom-666th-sense-v1-3-9-27-2011-a.html and the dev puts a little tweek in it to make the volume louder. Being in construction it makes it easier to hear. Plus I'm happy with my Inc so I can wait for the Vigor or whatever it will be called. I thought someone said the screen might be bigger than 4.3? The Vigor will be my next phone.:D

I run the same ROM and wondered why when I jumped back to a backup to grab info I forgot the volume was so much different. I like being able to hear the phone over my radio in the car. BUT the Vigor is looking like it may, possibly be the next one on my list.

i think if the specs pan out to be true and the Battery life is not 100% crap i will more then likley pick this over the prime

You know you'd miss Sense. (And yes, I know you'll have it rooted as soon as the ability is there)

Probably, but the Thunderbolt just dropped to $150.. so somethings coming, probably this month if I had to guess..

Yup yup! It almost always drops right before a new one comes out.

Trying to recall though..I thought with the Incredible they did pre-orders before it was actually released? Not sure how the TB was listed but are they likely to just have it go on sale say the 20th, but not really offere any pre-orders?

Oh yes, they did do pre-orders. I believe they learned a very important lesson on how to handle pre-orders when that little debacle occurred. Personally, I ended up with a $50 credit on my phone bill and a $25 gift card because of how poorly everything was handled.

My biggest concern with this phone is the size. I am so used to holding my Incredible that even the TB feels awkward in my hand. BUT I guess I should get used to it because they seem to be staying in the bigger range.

I seriously think the major players are trying to bridge the gap between mini-tablets and smart phones so the phones can take advantage of and be acceptable for using more tablet oriented apps. I would say the 5-ish inch range will appeal to the masses with some exceptions, once they try it and get used to it :). Others will want more options for (netbook size) docking accessories, and still others will say screw it, I just want a decent smart phone that's not so big.

I for one don't want/use a tablet/netbook type device. My Inc is more than capable for the times I have to use it for such things on the go. Otherwise I can wait to get to my PC at home. But I could definitely be happy with a 4.5-5 inch screen on a new phone.

I think the 4.3 will be the limit for me. It'll be an adjustment though. And yeah - I don't want to start looking like I'm carrying about a tablet.

I'll probably go play with them. I actually find the Dinc. a little on the small side for some things from a usability stand point. As a phone and checking FB etc. its ok but I find for navigation its too small.

I thought the exact same thing (not this quote but the post before when you said "4.3 is too big"). I had the DINC since launch and when i bought the T-bolt i was afraid of the size. Now my t-bolt is almost too small. I can't even hold a DINC anymore. I gave it to my friend and everytime i take it i can't beleive i used something that small.

Trust me!!! the 4.3 is perfect size. you will never go back once you get used to it. and it only takes 2 days to get used to. anything bigger is not good though (G-Nex). 4.3 is perfect....... Again, i was exactly like you before i got it.

FYI, Gnex is only a bit bigger because the place where the capacitive buttons would be on another phone is now screen...so in reality it's not any bigger to handle than a 4.3 phone. However, I do appreciate you saying this...I have a lot of trepidation about going to a 4.3 size phone myself.

Magdelaine,

this isn't a "I told you so" or "you're wrong" post. But the G-nex is bigger. i though so but when no one corrected us i thought it was me.

and the only reason I'm telling you is because the original post was concerned with size. it's about an half inch longer (physically)

What are the chances the Rezound will be released with ICS?

Leaning very heavily toward this phone at the moment...

Very very slim. HTC had released their statement that they were looking at ICS to see how it would integrate with Sense. So unless the release date gets pushed back a lot, the Vigor (sorry - I just can't call it that other name) probably won't see it until sometime in 2012.
All of this is MY OPINION - I in no way have any real knowledge of this. :)

heh. I actually didn't think it would, but I'm a big fan of HTC and Sense, and this phone is currently #1 on my wishlist (current contract doesn't come up until Jan 28th, so I have a bit of a wait still.)

Yeah the Vigor being released with ICS would be near miraculous.

To be honest I really don't expect ICS to be hitting any other phones(new or otherwise) till march/april of next year. The exception to this may be the SG2.
