Well it seems that Droid Life has found a Verizon document showing a November 10, 2011 launch date for the HTC Rezound, Galaxy Nexus and Droid HD (RAZR). It was hard to fathom 2 high-end releases at the same time, how about 3?

Here's the link:

Galaxy Nexus, DROID RAZR and HTC Rezound All Launching November 10? (Updated) - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

I didn't want to accept it, but I guess our wait until November 11 looks pretty official. On the other hand, at least Verizon isn't launching these phones one-at-a-time starting with the Nexus on November 10.

I saw this and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense to do it this way. I think whatever phone would get released first would have the biggest sales because otherwise they would stagger the releases so that they would be outside of the 14day return period. This allows everyone to basically try all three phones before deciding and takes out the advantage of releasing first.

Even though it's not as high end as the others, the Casio Ravine 2 is also shown launching 11/10. Usually the most I recall seeing Verizon release on the same day is 1 top tier device and 1 low to midrange device. So now we've got 3 top tier and a midrange? Seems a little suspect. I'm sure they want to blitz the holiday shopping season, but that date is still 2 weeks ahead of Black Friday. Guess we'll find out in 3 1/2 weeks.

While it won't hurt Verizon to launch 3 big devices at once, I think that HTC, Samsung, & Moto wouldn't be thrilled with this. Just like how you see production companies stagger movie releases.

The other thing is it goes against Verizon's normal rollout. They usually space out high end launches so each one falls outside of the previous launches trial period. While I could believe the Vigor/Nexus launch on the same date (with Verizon ticked about Sammy/Google shutting them out of the promotions for the G-Nex), this seems a little out there.

<------ has nothing to add

the moto RAZR is launching Oct. 18th Confirmed... What that means for Vigor or NP who knows...

hmm so they announced it today and its available today? that's weird...

Note: this is according to the "live" announcement event going on now....

I don't think it's been said that it's releasing today. If so, the Verizon site isn't updated yet.

Yeah, I'm watching the Engadget "web-blog" they might be mistaken...

Now their reporting pre-orders start on Oct. 27th (they admitted the mistake with earlier date).

It'll be interesting how this stacks up with the NP event tonight... And by extension where Vigor fits in...

and the last slide says available starting in November..

*Edit*
Whoops, sorry, guess that has already been posted from original source

What would be very interesting would be to see HTC / Verizon hype, let alone discuss the Rezound the way they have/will the RAZR/Galaxy Nexus. If the Rhyme was deserving of such an event in September, why not the Rezound which blows that phone out of the water. Come on Verizon & HTC- get it together.

All good points.

Maybe the manufacturers want their top tier phones out before Black Friday to (hopefully) garner good reviews so folks will be Jones'n to buy them come BF.

Also, this could be a "perfect storm" for VZW. No way they spread these phones out; they might want to or has been their practice before, but the manufacturers would go nuts, having brought them to market-ready, and not competing/losing sales against the other guys' products. So in this case VZW is probably licking their chops.

Plus, top choice Android goodness from all the other competitiors at once just may take a sizable chunk out of I-Drone sales.

I guess I'll stoke the fires some. Not sure how long this banner has been on Verizon's website but if they're advertising the Motorola Razr which is due out in November, is it only a matter of time before the HTC VigoZoundBolt 2 is advertised on their site?

The stats are impressive on the Razr, I may have to do some homework on it.

Motorola launches the DROID RAZR 4G LTE smartphone

The DROID RAZR sports a 4.3-inch, Super AMOLED display, Kevlar back, and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording. There is also a front-facing HD camera. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, and has a 1,780mAh battery that Motorola claims will offer 12.5 hours of talk time or 8.9 hours of video playback. The DROID RAZR also has support for Bluetooth 4.0 and 16GB of internal storage. It also comes with a pre-loaded 16GB microSD card.

Motorola has focused a lot of its efforts on the durability of the DROID RAZR. The DROID RAZR has Gorilla Glass on its display, and the whole phone, interior included, is coated with Motorola's Splash Guard nanotechnology coating that protects against water damage. The display also features diamond-cut aluminum accents. The phone is built with laminated construction and stainless steel core for stiffness. Motorola also claims it is one of the lightest smartphones on the market today, at 127g

There's a Google/Samsung event tonight (10pm EST) which everyone thinks will be ICS/NP.

I can't believe HTC won't get in with a event in the next couple days...

These are going to be three top tier phones released VERY close to one another. This is a very nice problem to have in deciding between them :)

I have to be honest...the only thing I don't like about the Razr (a lot) is the non-removable battery.

I'm willing to bet that it'll only be a matter of time before someone cracks one opened and demonstrates how to replace the battery. The only issue I can see is Motorola soldering the battery. I don't see them doing that though as bad batteries tend to be a big reason that people return their phones. So I imagine in order to make their refurb process easy I can't imagine Motorola having to hire refurb sweat-shop employees that know how to solder.

I clicked on the link that I posted and I must admit, the phone looks sleek as hell so by no means am I 100% sold on the HTC. I'm even wondering if the phone's "rootability" is going to be a deciding factor for me.

Yeah, but how much bigger of a battery can you put in a phone that is that thin? Most all phones can increase batt size/capacity before you have to put a bigger door on the back, but I don't know how possible that will be with this phone, much less get an alternate cover for it.

Also, if you want rootability, I would assume the Vigor/Rezound would be the choice...HTC usually rooted quicker and has a much larger rooting dev/base.

Hmm, is the site having some troubles? My uploaded pic is nowhere to be found. As I was saying, below is a banner on Verizon's website...

That website lists the phone's battery at around 1700 mAh which I'd say is fine by me considering the TB is roughly only 2/3rds that size. I'm thinking the amount of problems I've had with rooting my TB, I'm not convinced that I absolutely have to have a phone that I can root.

If they can prove (i.e. the masses usage shows) that the phone gets battery life as advertised, then I would most definitely agree with you. But then there is the whole rooting issue...can't say how many times I have had to battery pull to stop bootloops/freezes when tinkering with different roms and non-optimized apps.

I'm with you. I'm frustrated at this gushing flood of love by Verizon for the Nexus and RAZR but only a trickle to nothing for the Rezound in these announcements.

I know many here aren't so excited about the RAZR, but we represent a tiny slice of what you might call cell phone "hobbyist" The millions of consumers who don't even know such things as android forums exist will see "Measuring 7.1 mm thin, made with KEVLAR
