I have mikg ROM 2.57 and installed the battery calibration application but it listed on there to " root first". What am I doing wrong here because I'm already rooted. Stock kernel would affect this?
Did you downgrade the superuser app? I know that v2.7 has the fudged up su and you will have to get a different su app.
Anyways, you do not need an application to recalibrate your battery. You can wipe the battery stats in recovery.
To recalibrate the battery correctly, you will have to do a couple of steps.
1. Charge battery to full, 100%
2. While the phone is still plugged into the charger, boot to recovery, wipe battery stats
3. Reboot the phone
4. Unplug phone from charger
5. Drain battery completely, 0%, until the phone shuts off.
6. Plug phone back into charger and charge to 100%
7. Once phone is fully charged, unplug charger
Battery recalibrated
Now you can use the app to do the same but do all the steps I wrote and replace step 2 and 3 and recovery with using the app to wipe battery stats.
