When Will the Nexus Be Announced Which Carriers It Will Be On?

Verizon is all but confirmed. Announcement video has Verizon Wireless in the notification bar. Other carriers are unknown at this time, though there will be a HSPA+ and LTE version. I think they said they will be two different devices, so no LTE and HSPA+ on the same phone.

Yeah it seems like Verizon is confirmed but what about the others? When will the other carriers say it will come to them and if they do then when? Would it be this week? I don't want to wait for 3 months to know whether it will come to Sprint or not. I want to know now if it's coming or not.
 
Little confused by specs written up here & there. I had always thought that all phones released by Verizon would have CDMA as the basic signal and 3G, 4G, LTE, etc., that would work in cities that had those capabilities. But I'm only seeing LTE and HSPA+ listed for the Nexus. So, is it just that CDMA isn't listed because it's a given, or is it that it's not listed because it doesn't have it? Concerned because there's no LTE in this area and not likely coming this way soon.

I like to know as well.
 
There is no way this phone won't have CDMA. Verizon uses that for voice. I'm not familiar if VZW uses LTE for voice, but even if they did, they wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot and miss out on future LTE markets.
 
LTE doesn't have a voice component at the moment. There have been some tests to run voice along LTE, and apparently it's very clear. But for now CDMA is their voice network.

As to which carriers will get it, well, it should be obvious. Only Verizon uses LTE in America at the moment, so that's a given. AT&T and T-Mobile use HSPA+. AFAIK both the Nexus One and the Nexus S came in AT&T and T-Mobile flavors. I would expect to see a Galaxy Nexus for both.

That leaves Sprint. Sprint doesn't use HSPA+, and has only just announced plans to switch to LTE. According to them, their first LTE phones will arrive mid-2012. They did get the Nexus S several months after T-Mobile did, so it's possible they might get the Galaxy Nexus once they turn on LTE. But then again they might just pass on it in favor of the Samsung Galaxy S III which might be debuting around that time.
 
Google Nexus will eventually come to AT&T but not til next year I think. What I'm wondering is, will the unlocked GSM version be available globally the same time Verizon releases theirs next month? I'm on AT&T and waiting til next year is not an option for me so I'm very interested in the global GSM variant.

And that my friend is what I'm banking on. My upgrade is around mid 2012. Galaxy S lll is going to be my next.

Wouldn't that mean 2G/EDGE data? Aside from the iPhone 4S, I don't know of other international phones that support 850/1900 MHz on 3G. I really don't care whether I have to pay full price for the phone or not (assuming full price is in the region of $500~600). However, I do want to be able to use it on at least 3G speed when I'm away from wifi.
 
A lot of international phones work with AT&T like the galaxy s 2. It had 3G and hspa+ speeds. I would say most work with AT&T 3G not tmobule though.
