Been meaning to mention this forever...love the avatar. As a dude in his thirties who grew up with Transformers as my favorite action figure-type toy, your pic kicks butt. Galvatron's classic line to Starscream in the movie was epic. "Coronation Starscream, this is bad comedy."...followed by destroying my favorite decepticon.

Keeping young at heart helps with my profession as a first-grade teacher, or at least that's what I keep telling my wife and kid. ;)

I've moved from collecting Transformers to collecting Cell phones, haha.

All I know is that the Moto Droid RAZR is already official on VZW and it wasn't supposed to be available until AFTER the Galaxy Nexus as far as most rumors went.

I figure it will happen, but I think it will be more because of people like us being really hyped than any other reason as it's now pretty clear some things haven't went as originally planned.

I was there for that. It was ridiculous and borderline childish. Hope to not have to deal with that again.

lol i love me some old school transformers(also in my thirties). I have all of the old cartoon series on my hard drive and i have the original Transformers the Movie as well. Thx.

That's awesome, man. I can't tell you how many of the Hasbro toys I've collected. In my classroom, there's a 15 ft shelf above the kids' cubbies loaded with as many of my Transformers as I could fit. Instantly makes a connection with the kids. Perfect excuse to get to keep my old nostalgic toys, haha. Oh, and my buddy too is loving the new Batman game. Said he's been hooked on it all day today. Enjoy, man.
 
I think it was one of techcrunch's video where the person demo-ing the nexus prime said the HSPA+ is pentaband. That means even if it doesnt officially come to t-mobile/at&t it can be imported.
 
1. CK, are you a tiny bit thrilled that we might not be getting the Nexus now?

2. I'm 100% that we are. Talked to my sister tonight and she said that she hasn't heard anything bad around Verizon. Most of the talk is about the RAZR and how awesome it is, but she'd hear if the Nexus was cancelled, and it hasn't been.

3. I see a lot of us are in our early-mid thirties. Thundercats, Hooooooo!

That's awesome.

We recently broke out the old Transformer/GiJoe/Thundercats movies for our kids who are now around 5-8yrs old. They love them too. It's hilarious watching my nephew (4yrs) yell, with a lisp,
...Tunder....tunder....tunder tats....hooooooooo!

Not sure about CK, but I know it's not cancelled and may very well be near 100%(after rounding) likely to happen, but I also know it's not a DONE deal and the .00000000001% chance it never happens does in fact excite me a bit for the pure drama of it!

Early Mid thirties here also.

Thought I loved this thread before...now it just flat out kicks butt. My daughter (she's five) recently watched He-Man and She-Ra on Netflix. It brought me back. So crazy, time flies, guys. Here's to this forum and to getting our NEW toys.

Check out the old he-man episodes on youtube, whenever a female character is on, you'd swear they drew her after a model in a men's magazine. Pretty funny stuff. Voltron is another one to check out on netflix.

My 4 year old girl a Netflix He-Man and She-Ra fan. Now she has to ask about every cartoon if'n I used to watch it when I was a little kid, even if it seems really new or unknown all together too me.

So, getting semi-getting back on topic, I seriously hope our Nexus has a bigger battery. Have you guys seen the hump they're going to put on the Vigor with that extended battery? Looks like a behemoth. And not in a good way.

I also had the Voltron toys...all Five Cat-like robots. That thing was awesome! Man, I had some sweet stuff now that I think about it. It is no wonder I obsess over these electronics nowadays. I'm just continuing my childhood excitement. :D

Based on some of the things I have been reading on the net and the uncertain nature involving what I considered a stunning achievement from the Android team in 4.0 and the Galaxy Nexus I wanted to take some time to share my thoughts.

Its a shame that the past issues with Vzw have got their customers so accustomed to getting shafted on quality devices that any rumor or hint of a delay causes most to believe they will be let down again. You have to remember that some have been using the device on Verizon's LTE network for quite a while in one shape or another.

Issues arise as devices get closer to final software release concerning optimizing data services and software in final shake down. Things happen during this and at this point, there is nothing deal breaking that I am aware of concerning data connectivity on the device. Putting a new Os, LTE and Dual core with this amazing screen tech in a package this sexy means a lot has to be put into final polishing so the day 1 experience is great out the box. I caution those that are worried to calm down and accept that early Nov means you will know soon enough if your fears are valid.

Let us all as Android fans ( and yes I am still a fan) simply enjoy the fact that OUR os has grown into the biggest mobile OS on the planet and that is because of fans that are rabid about their devices and features.

This will be a massive launch for Verizon and if they screw this up then the faith alot of customers have in the company will be lost and another carrier will step up and truly become the dominate player in the US Android market...

Great network be damned, if you cant get the device you want on it...
