I just found this article showing some official HTC OEM cases for the Rezound, including press shots. IMO, the cases are pretty cool. In one of the press shots, the soft keys are illuminated and they are red.

In know it's not as newsworthy after the GN/ICS event last night, but I still think this phone's pretty cool. With the color theme and shape, I just don't understand why they didn't call it Incredible HD...

Here's an image. The images on the linked site are much bigger:

Nice find! Those actually look like pretty sweet cases.

I agree w/ the Inc HD name and color scheme. I would almost like to see all the red parts done in chrome or brushed stainless - as I have had the DINC since the day it came out w/ the black and red theme, something different would be nice.

Yeah, I think those cases are great too. Brushed/Stainless instead of red would look really slick.

I noticed that the phone in the photo doesn't have Verizon branding. In the older leaks with the branding, it looks like the soft keys are white. I wonder if there will be a setting to change the color, or if they moved from one color to another during the design...

What do you mean "not newsworthy". This is still the phone. A ton of people were disappointed yesterday. It's a samsung!!!!! it just doesn't look that great. Plus no SD slot. GPU sub-par

this is still the phone people. HTC's quality can't be matched. Once this phone comes out the rest will be forgotten. But i will say, ICS is real sweet!!!!

thanks for that find by the way. That looks nice!!!!!

I agree 100%- my comment was slightly sarcastic given the reaction on the Vigor threads to to the Samaung/Google show last night. It seems like lots of people who were all about the Vigor over the GN got swept up in the hype. For me, ANYTHING related to this phone is newsworthy, and at the end of the day- it's a lot easier for me to get an OTA or root and install a rom then it is to pony up and buy a new phone...

***EDIT I did say "not as newsworthy," not "not newsworthy." Just saying...:D

I was on board with the Vigor up until last night. Ice Cream Sandwich looks incredible, and the Galaxy Nexus looks like it'll be a great device to have a pure Google/ Android experience on. As much as I like HTC Sense I think I want to try an Android device in its raw form. I'll definitely be checking the Vigor/ Rezound out at the store before I make a final decision, but I'm convinced I'll be going with the Galaxy Nexus.

I'm still hoping I wake up tomorrow and it's on sale, no announcement or nothing...just onsale :D

those cases are sweet looking! My Incredible is caseless, but if the back on the vigor/rezound is as ugly in person as it look in the picture, that purple or black cover would look sweet!!

These cases look much better than any I've seen for an HTC phone in the past...I might even be able to skip the Seidio case this time around.

And according to that site it will have 1620mAh Battery...

I don't know which phone I am getting anymore. I really want the Vigor. I think it is a better phone. But I don't know how ICS will play when you have hardware buttons and if it is really optimized for no hardware buttons.

Sense > then any other UI including Vanilla.

I think the battery capacity was confirmed in the FCC docs some time ago so this isn't a surprise...time will tell if it's adequate enough.

From what I understand, the coding in ICS allows it to be placed on a phone with or without soft keys, and it will work just as well on either.

I totally agree that Sense is the best UI- and while ICS looks cool and adds a bunch of features, a great deal of those have been available on Sense for some time.

As for the core features that have been changed and aren't part of Sense, I'm sure we'll see them soon. There's no way this phone isn't going to be one of the first HTC phones to get ICS.

You know you could've visited my thread and received that scoop a LONG TIME AGO! :p ;)

As far as the colored home keys, I just hope it's not a gimmicky knockoff of the Mustang/Mini Cooper/etc etc interior lights that can be toggled to different colors. I can see that feature posing an issue down the road, although it would be kind of cool in a geeky kind of way if you can hack it so that the colors cycle through a change, but that would probably kill the battery.

I think blue soft keys w/ the black would look sweet. Better than red.

Those cases look pretty cool, and I just might have to jump on that (or another) monster battery. I never bought an extended battery for my Inc though, do they make cases for phones that fit extended battery door setups?
