Are the alarm problems fixed yet?

I am thinking about purchasing around 10 - 20 of these incredible 2's for employees at the company I work for. I really don't want to hear them all complaining there is no working alarm clock. So has htc fixed this yet?

Thanks

I have not read anything stating that HTC has included a fix for this in the last update. My wife and I have never experienced the alarm clock issue so it's hard for me to say if the issue is still there.

Well you would have to root each phone, to install Titanium Backup,

Thats ridiculous. Im not rooting corporate phones. I cant believe htc hasnt fixed this considering its otherwise such a great phone. Unfortunately i may have to go droid x2 now which is a little too clunky and has blur... ugh

My alarm clock stopped working after about three Weeks after downloading the 2.3.4 update, I touched the clock part of my widget & nothing happens. So, then, the next thing I did was download alarm clock plus from the market for free immediately after I discovered it stopped functioning.

Whoever came up with this doing math problems to snooze & dismiss the alarms is a freakin' genius in my book & they need to be awarded with some type of very shiny innovation medal pinned on they chest.
It works!!!
My alarm clock, stopwatch, kitchen timer, world clock came back on its own after about a week but, using alarm clock plus doing math problems forces me to wake up every time so I just kept on using it!!!
My stock alarm clock/other time related functions will probably go out again, but I really don't care...
I have solved that problem and moved on...:D

Mine died, then all of a sudden started working again. (I was tapping weather and hit to high I guess and it came up yesterday ) But I replaced with tokkiofree while it was dead and haven't gone back. It's a nice simple ad free alarm that I find a lot easier to use anyway.

If the phones are coming with 2.3.4 (or 2.3.3) stock now, wouldn't this be a non-issue? You could always check them before rolling them out, but I thought most of the people encountering issues had the phone prior to the Gingerbread update. I'm not sure if it would make a difference, but I find it hard to believe they're selling phones without the clock app.

FWIW, I went through a round of problems with the alarm app. OTA updates, factory data resets, none of that fixed the problem. As of this writing, the app is working just fine. NTL, I went with Alarm Extreme (better features) and I use that exclusively.

HTC, AFAIK, has never addressed this problem save for, in telcons with support, saying "we're working on it". To be blunt, I think HTC and Verizon a) know full well the problem exists, and b) have left their customers hanging in the wind on the matter. Verizon says it's HTC's problem to sort out and HTC says nothing meaningful.

Knowing what I know now about the DINC2 and various Motorola competitors, I'd still buy the DINC2 (mainly because having GSM is a must for me and the alternatives aren't that attractive), but if someone comes up with a better phone and better support, I'll drop HTC like a hot rock.

Would I buy these phones in bulk for corporate use? No. HTC isn't likely to get very excited about your problems.

I've had the phone since before the Gingerbread upgrade, and I've never had any issues with the alarm.

Honestly I dont know what other phone to get... The droid x2 has its own issues. The pro is old and has an annoying keyboard problem I cannot look past. The other offerings from samsung, htc, and Motorola really arent any better. I cant offer a phone that is in the 200 or more range anyways. No way im going apple and I am DONE with RIM after all the headaches they have given me

If you were to buy hTC Droid Incredible 2 online with a new two year contact it would be $0.01 on sites like: Amazon wireless, wirefly, let's talk, ect., ect.
I am pretty sure that I saw that ALL Verizon phones on Amazon this month were 0.01 with new 2yr activation. (iPhone excluded) Yes, please, I like to exclude iPhone from everything I do too.

Siri-ious ifail!!! 4S if you ask me!

Thatd be great except this is a business account so I cannot buy off those sites. What you see on Verizons site is what my company has to pay...

I just had my alarm stop working this morning. I've had this phone for about 3 weeks (got it as a replacement for my original Inc that was hosed from the Gingerbread update) and the clock app worked perfectly up until this morning. I didn't even know it stopped working until my alarm didn't go off and I was almost late for work. I've downloaded Alarm Clock Plus now, and hopefully that will work for me.

Mine has come and gone at random since I got the phone a few weeks ago as a replacement for my gingerbroke incredible. I had done some reading on the 2 before I accepted it as a replacement, so knew of the issue and downloaded alarm plus right off the bat. Being late when you work @ a school is not an option. It's now become a game to see if the stock clock is ticking.

I thought I had the problem licked...but now my alarm clock plus has stopped working...
Trying tokkio free/lite now...

Looks like installing beautiful widgets solves this problem, at least for me now.
When you tap on the hours of the time (set as default) on the super clock in BW the desk clock application opens up. This cannot be opened in all apps.
It gives the alarm clock option, world clock and timer options at the bottom, my alarm clock was not working an i was unable to set it before this.

I just downloaded the full BW app free on get jar gold, the 2.98 price was slashed out.
It even shows in the Android market that i have it installed, got the animation package too. It is a nice alternative to the sense flip clock with many more options and skins.

Hope that helps some of you.

Oh, wait, in the clock setting in BW the box for configuration short cut needs to be checked, I think.

I am curious to find out if installing BW will work for anyone one else who's hTC sense clock is unresponsive to touching the hours or minutes of the widget. Or did mine just decide to come back on it's own and might go away again...we shall see.

Just an FYI, even though the Market shows you have it installed, if an update comes through you will not be able to update. I got BeWeather free from GetJar. An update for this came through the market. When you click update it will come back saying you did not purchase this app.
