I appreciate loyalty. So, the question then becomes: gawd forbid the GNex doesn't come to vzw, what then - Razr, Rezound (i just threw up in my mouth a little, just typing that), or wait for the next greatest in '12???
Quad core, baby. Quad. Core.

Verizon has been nothing but good to me. I have a family plan and have been their customer since 2002. They've bent over backwards for me by bending rules. I lost my xv6900 (HTC Touch) after three months. I didn't get insurance. They replaced it for me for the discounted price. They didn't have to that.
They've given me a free month of service once when I complained about their sales tactics once. I said, there's nothing you can do for me. The CSR said that there was. She made sure I left happy. She gave me a free month. I was surprised.
There several other things they did for me. I'm very appreciative. They've kept my business for sure. I'm loyal.

you say these things like they're facts. how do you know that verizon doesn't want to be the one to announce it, on their terms, when they want to? Samsung and Google saying that it will be available on Verizon IS announcing it. Device announcements aren't something taken lightly. There is a lot of timing and planning that goes along with them. With the high-end devices verizon has coming out, i'm sure they have a very specific announcement/ launch schedule they're following. The Galaxy Nexus just isn't there hot ticket item at the moment. They probably have a big Droid campaign lined up for the RAZR (which they would prefer to sell) and announcing a nexus device would steal its thunder.
... love how you conveniently omitted how you made them take back your DINC after your return period simply because you wanted the DX more!!!![]()

not currently. Grew up in a small town north of GI (population 580), and went to UNL. Spent a TON of time in the 'Ha tho, and particlarly the bars...moved to Phx in 90, after college - couldn't take another winter!

If it doesn't come to vzw I will consider the Vigor (I can't call it that R name anymore, it's horrendous) but if that doesn't twist my panties then I'll be waiting for the new batch in 2012
Same here. I've been eagerly awaiting the quad-core phones. I'll use the Nexus until I see what quad-core phones will be coming out next year. So, you're saying you're only in it for the short term... lol

So they are worried about a developer phone with pretty much no marketing dollars behind it and with a very specific target market stealing thunder and cannibalizing sales from a device (RAZR) that will be so heavily marketed that our heads will spin.
Hah, I went to middle school and HS in a town with 210 people 60 miles north of Ogallala. So I win, THAT's isolation! Which town near GI was it? My mom grew up around Ravenna and had cousins that grew up in St. Paul and the general area there. I'm in DFW, TX now. Not a UNL or Omaha familiar guy though, but am a Husker fan of course.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out if that's a good thing or a bad thing.Interesting turn of phrase...lol

Greeley - just 25 miles from St Paul. Spent a LOT of time chasing girls there! Played Ravenna in football and baseball all thru HS. Too funny!!
Sure, I think that's a fair assessment. I'd ask yourself how often you use, in my example above, the world clock or the timer or the stopwatch...I only use my alarm clock from the Clock App. If I wanted a world clock, there are probably 1,000 of them in the market. I couldn't say a "ton" because I don't know how many of the functions you typically use...But you're definitely on the right track. You'll find the scrolling and speed of a launcher not named Rosie (like ADW Ex, for example), is WAY smoother and faster. It's just streamlined.
Tech chatter predicted that the first quad-core phone could hit the shelves in 1Q 2012, but that seems to be a little behind schedule. There could be one released in the summer, but I'm not expecting any until towards the end of next year now.Quad cores? Maybe at CES, but when can we realistically expect quads to hit store shelves? Next summer? Next November??

Sorry, my poor Droid can't wait that long. I wish she could, but she is ticking me off more & more every day with her... eccentricities.
