Official MIUI Rom released!

Official MIUI rom has been released. You can download it here
I used to use MIUI on my desire and have always been a big fan. It looks so much better on the SGS2.
To install, you need to do a full wipe first then flash via CWM.
After a few benchmark tests I got 4284 with Siyah Kerenl clocked at 1.2.
My only let down is TV out doesn't work so its still not going to be my main choice yet :( Its based on CM so any bugs in CM will still probably appear in this rom (for some people it wont be a daily use rom)
For anyone who has not used MIUI before I definately recommend you test this rom out even if its just for a few hours :)

Can you download straight to your external sd as I had loads of problems with cyanogen. Yeah the tv out problems a bit annoying but I could deal with that. The problem with asop (or is it aosp) I suppose

Not sure about the download to sd? Yeah the TV out is a CM bug. Also just noticed that video recorder FCs. I read that CM does that to and there is a fix somewhere?
Just tried to restore my checkrom backup and it says MD5 mismatch :( start from scratch again now! good job i backed up my apps to.

Did that actually work? Just pressed the link that I copied from what I posted in another thread and it was down for maintenance. Anyway I think it was something like.
Any or all.
1. Correct permissions
2. Sorry can't remember what that one was
3. Remove old recorded video from the folder (again can't remember folder name)
4. Download camcorder shortcut from the market. Open it once then it should work. (The 1 that worked for me)

This is not official. MiuiAndroid states this but they are using an RC/beta build from Miui.
Discussed a lot on XDA and has pissed off a few people in the community.

It was interesting to read the twitter discussions from MiuiAndroid and some followers questioning how their libraries match those of Miui when MiuiAndroid is claiming that they are using Bmarko's build. MiuiAndroid's response has not been that polite.

There still are a few bugs. I can't wait till we actually have Official miui.

Battery life has been average to below average for me versus some older builds from Galnet.

The camera recording bug solution has been to dump the miui camera (in my opinion a superior camera app) to the cyanogen one. :(

I'm trying Galnet's 1.10.21 build right now.

How long ago was this? The rom only got uploaded as official on friday didnt it? I know it was unofficial before that with credit to bmarko. Also Miui announced official rom would be on its way a week or 2 ago. Miuiandroid does the official translations for miui so why would they say its official when its not? Not saying your wrong, Just seems strange.

I dont understand this either if they are using a build from miui then it is official surely?

Please go to XDA or Galnet forums. There a ton of posts about this. The release was hyped as official when it definitely was not. :(

Here is an example:

Yes, I spoke with miui china, they also said that they will release the final official soon and this is the beta version!

It is definitely not official release. Miui China has not released it to public yet as it was supposed to be in private beta.

But then again, who cares. I love being a guinea pig! ;)

Massive fan of MIUI on my old desire and I really missed it when I moved to sgs2 (had to download a load of "Go "apps just to get an experience I was satisfied with).

Anyway, the no tv out (hdmi) is a deal breaker for me as I watch films all the time on my tv. I don't think I'll make the jump until this is fixed. Is it just a matter of time before this is fixed?

I see what u mean. So its not been released by miui china but it has been leaked. When i say official i mean its not a port as galnet and bmarkos is.

I presume tv out will be fixed when cm gets round to it?

Strangely, the official MIUI SGS2 release was initially based on OUR (GalnetMIUI) SGS2 build. We spent time with them upstreaming different fixes for their development team while they were getting to grips with it.

But, I will not knock MIUIAndroid's release (bmarko's in their case), it is a very, very good build in it's own right.
