new ota = new phone

I've had my thunderbolt since launch day. It's been decent , not great , not my dream phone and certainly not the phone after..

With that said , this new update appears to be a homerun. I downloaded the its this morning. My phone has worked perfectly since. Let's hope it stays this way. I was thinking about upgrading to a nexus prime , but if my thunderbolt will behave and work the way it should I can pass and wait for the next round of new phones.

Thank you HTC.

These are the best posts I think I get to see on these forums! Most things that get reported on here seem to be "This is broken...", "I don't like this...", or "Why will my phone not do this..." when someone posts something about how much they like their phone because of any reason it makes me smile :D

Its true these are the rarest of threads... I haven't found one thing I can legitimately bitch about.......YET
Noticed my quadrant scores are down by a couple hundred yet the phone is obviously faster in general use... Interesting but apparently irrelevant..

I'll chime in on this. Been playing with smart phones since the Pocket PC phones. Love my Tbolt. They just keep getting better.

Did the manual update yesterday so I got a fresh slate with it.

No complaints yet other than having to set all my shit back up and losing progress on games ;p

this was a great update. The phone is working great and does seem faster.

I think this will be the last update for a long time, thank goodness its a good one.

And 10 years from now we will be talking about how we remember the bolt but it was no where near as good as this new phone we have :D

I'm very happy with my 'bolt. I am not rooted & did not have the type of problems other's have had.
Got the update this afternoon & everything is working OK so far - even have Skype video with the FFC which I had really been waiting for.

Just an FYI quadrant isn't the best indicator of real world use.

Yeah I had always read that... I dont do any gaming...I had to have some sort of benchmark I guess. A couple hours later I'm running 1700's like usual anyway.

Ten years from now will be something... remember our first 1ghz smart phones... Its like recalling my first pentium after a 486

Just updated my wife's Bolt and things seem pretty good. She probably wont notice much change beyond the app drawer icon. It will be interesting to see if she notices any change though.

I love this update. So much smoother and responsive.

I love the new power feature that switches off LTE and auto sync (for when you really need to conserve).

Took me a bit to figure out why it made funny sounds, but I found it to be the weather/clock widget. While the sounds are nice, they are not in sync haha!

Either way, this phone just got a lot better!

Where is the power feature located?

And I love little revving noise it makes when you unlock the phone... Hell I am starting to actually like my Thunderbolt now :D

haha... I just checked out the weather widget and I now see what SEV was talking about; the unlock noise corresponds with the type of weather (not a revving noise, like I thought lol)

And while it is out of sync, it is cool none the less... GREAT JOB HTC

Under settings, click on "power." The first option is "enable power efficiency." When you click on it, you get a pop-up that says "If you enable power efficency, it will adjust screen brightness, turn of LTE data and auto-sync. Please use the manual refresh control in applications to update your data."

My only complaint that I have since the new update is that my location in the weather widget has been incorrect. Other then that it has been great thus far
