Root Is there any ROM supporting the 5.6.893 update?

Now that I read that flashing from 5.5.886 directly to 5.7.893 keeps Webroot working, I think I am going to revert my phone, and then root, and then flash 5.7 directly and see if that makes a difference.

I hate to lose all my apps though :p *sigh* Going to be a long night, it seems....

No Manga for me tonight.

If I use the R3L3AS3DRoot and 43V3R root for the BIONIC v2 tool it says that if I restore on 5.893 it will give me the 866 system but the kernal and radio will stay the same. Is that what you did?!?!?!?! Because I thought if the system didnt match the kernal it wouldnt update?

How would I get back to a 5.893 stock system with a 5.893 kernal?

Use this and answer yes that your phone is not bootable, then yes to root when ready.
check forever root, mine was missing the superuser.apk line.
reboot.

did you find a download for 5.7.893? the one i found was out of bandwidth.
 
i tried 2.0 but didn't try 2.1 yet. I'll do that when I get home and try again. Hopefully something will work D:

I have the one I downloaded before but that requires something other than .886 to be installed.

I'm looking for a full 5.7 update. Else I might just do 5.5.893 and then 5.7.893 over it.
 
0mie said he's got the full 5.7 - so I gave him my MF links for the 5.5, 5.6 and 5.6-->5.7 just now in a PM at XDA. I asked if he would provide me the 5.7 full and then I'd up it to MF and give him links for that too.

Waiting *patiently b/c my radio and kernel are already updated, so I think that I need a full update in order to make this work correctly lol.

And I don't even use webtop ...
 
It's an addiction. I say that we need to go to flashers anonymous but I believed that's taken by another group

John, would you mind sharing the update for 5.6.893 to 5.7.893? I am already on 5.6.893 and you can go back on kernals so a full zip won't do me any good. Thanks!
