Give him a hall pass, extra credit and perfect scores! Heck put him on the deans list. Work this out with the other teachers and maybe he will let you play with the GNex[/QUOTE]

In jest, I did ask him to see if his dad would let him take it to school so I could check it out...LOL He laughed and said he doubted he'll let him!.:-)

Owasso....I'm the pitching coach here & teach Geometry & Math Finance at the high school. I remember some buddies I had in college, NSU, that were from Harrah...good dudes!!!

Awesome! My sister lives in Owasso. She also has two sons that are nearing high school age. If I remember, when they do start their freshman year, I'll be sure to send you a warning. They're, umm, a little "high strung" ;)

So I have been weighing my options with the Rezound and the Galaxy Nexus. Yesterday I went all in for my Ice Cream Sandwich. Feel free to blame any further delays with the phone on me. :o

sweet, send them my way, counselors here know I'm pretty laid back and can handle all kinds...One thing you have to have an abundance of in my profession is patience!!!! LOL

First of all, don't get your hopes up for information here, but one of my Geometry students from last year just brought me some google gear. He brings me pens, cups, hats, etc, things like that. His dad works for a google location here in Oklahoma. I asked him if he had heard of the Galaxy Nexus, and he said, yeah, my dad has had one for about a month now, it's his world phone. My eyes got big and I started asking questions.... I told him about this forum and how there are some people that are crazy interested in this phone, told him how the thread has almost 20k posts. I told him to go home and ask his dad if he knows when it is coming to the US and what carriers...he said ok. Not crossing my fingers here, but maybe he'll have some good news for me tomorrow. I also ask him if the screen was cool, and he said it was awesome!!!! I then proceeded to write him a note for being late to his next class....hehe.....and sent him on his way. I'll let you know if I get any info.

While an awesome story, I don't believe Google has any control over the release of this device. The release date is strictly in Verizon's court, along with Samsung delivering promptly.

So while you may get some info, that's just what Google may have thought, or on some roadmap. The real info can only come from Verizon.

He just knows that he'd never see it again. ;)

agreed...hey, i'll pay him the $300 I have put back for my new nexus or sgs2, i don't care where I buy it....he'd have a 100% profit since I imagine he got it for free...I'm sure there's no rules against doing something like that right??? ;-)....off to baseball practice...you guys have fun....hope when I check back this evening you guys have some good news!!! :-)

agreed, but worth a try, if nothing else, maybe he'll tell me something about the phone that might be interesting that we didn't know...might give us something to talk about for a while???

also, I figure if I didn't ask and mentioned it later, you all might ban me from the forums for life, for not trying!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

I think I just became so used to the name Vigor when it was being talked about. Rezound just doesn't roll off the tongue the same way. Plus, it keeps setting off my spell check. lol

We all have to keep in mind, that when a product gets an internal codename, it can be anything. But when brought to market, the name can't infringe upon the myriad of other copyrights and trademarks out there (or has to be licenced).

Droid is a perfect example that is licenced from Lucasfilm.

So marketers keep trying to get creative with misspellings, z's instead of s's, swooshes over words and other stupid things. And some just plain old overthink themselves and then give themselves a pat on the back when done pissing everyone else off.

Yep. Keep us posted.

And you might want to consider offering a little in-home tutoring. At night when the dad's home, of course.

How does it make everyone feel to know that there are stacks and stacks of galaxy nexus' in verizon's warehouse, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to get one?

:(

Why do all of these sites keep representing the marketing map as a release map... come on.... are they really this ignorant???

Sorry for the rant... all better now! :)

Yes they are. All they do is copy and paste from the Webb and get paid every-time we open their site.

I have been done with the news blogs.

WOW, thanks for that...anyone know how to pick a lock? I'll leave my $300 at the door, honest. :)

So Baby....... we have no had a Pant_ status update in a while?;)

No update means none.

At least that's the way I think.

Correct - no updates about twisted or otherwise cause nothing has occurred to make it happen. Makes me very sad. :(

But don't worry - as soon as we get some sort of solid date I will be sure to post how they're doing!

Edit (and completely unrelated): Only thing that's come close is Dunkin Donut's new Mint Chocolate Hot Chocolate. Yummy :p

So we've resorted to shaking down school children for GNex info now!!! ROFL!!! :D

Just talked to my dad and he's with AT&T. He gave up on waiting for the Nexus because he was so fed up with his iPhone that he went ahead and bought the SII. Wish I had that option.

Me too! If that was on Verizon, I would have gone with it long ago!

As if I weren't hanging on the edge of my seat for this phone enough, Verizon has to send me an email letting me know that 4G coverage is now available in my area. It wasn't even (based on any of the maps I've seen) supposed to be available this year. Thanks for poking the bear with a stick, Verizon. :p
