What ROM are you running?

A normal reboot should take you back to the carrier logo (of whatever phone it is) and a hot reboot should start at the boot animation. This is only the restarting of the graphical shell.
 
Off topic: I've done black Fridays in the past but I hit stores that have a manageable crowd like Staples or Office Depot.

On topic: I wouldn't mind a BF in store release since I will be off.
 
I'm thinking if we don't have an announcement by the 10th (for the 17th) or the 14th (for the 21st), we probably won't be seeing this phone until mid-December due to whatever reason.

A hot re-boot is a battery pull while its running. I had my Blue-ant Q1 giving me problems and got therm on the horn and was instructed to pull the battery while powered up. It helped my issue. It was explained that more things are dumped on a hot re-boot than a pull while its off.

I have the Q2 now. Nice unit.

I'm on 666th sense. ( At least for now. When I eventually find an hour to myself I am gonna drop cm7 on.) now I'm going to have to do both reboots to see if I was imagining things (which is entirely possible)

Off Topic: In my business Black Friday has proved to be a day that has revealed mischief many a time. I guess its a good excuse to not be home.

More good info. This is why I ask questions here rather than elsewhere. I get answers in a very nice way.
 
FYI: When you get pulled over and asked for your license and registration but give me your Samsung corporate ID expect to be questioned....According to my new source,SHIM states that the G NEX is still listed under "mobile and rumor" with no release date set,possibly after Black Friday.Sprint version set to launch in May. That covers all that I know,I hope it helps. Drive carefully,Have all your paperwork.

I did black friday once - that was it. Now I look at the lines on tv and laugh at them. IF I go out that day it's not till later in the afternoon when the people who are truly bat-sh*t crazy have gone home.

My girlfriend and I have been doing Black Friday for the last 5 years. The kids will stay with my parents on Thanksgiving night and we will head out to the stores. Over the past 5 years we have been to dozens of stores and found ourselves in a bunch of crowded places. I have never seen a fight or an argument over anything. Most of the people are very nice and even try to help each other. We had a guy in Toys R' US last year that was running out to find things for people while we all waited in line. The big deal for us is the savings. We saved $300 last year on all our shopping. The price of a Galaxy Nexus is nothing to sneeze at, IMHO. Yes, we are doing it again this year.

That's awesome that you've had good experiences. I think it's my area that makes it suck so bad.
Last year was nice, black Friday was spent in Fort Lauderdale before going on a cruise.
