Whats up with the VIP forum is that where the cool people go lol no foreal though i dont see the point anyone shed light on this?
 
So why would they need there own forum...."great you donated go talk about why?" still dont get why they have a forum
 
Wondering this myself. I don't think it will just be for folks with paid subscriptions though. I think it will be more like an X amount of posts or more forum like the new Classifieds Forum. You have to have over 200 posts or more to post there.

Edit: Actually, now that I look at it a little more closely, it says for Premium members only. This means that you would have to have a paid subscription to view/ post, I think.

Hmmm. I guess nothing in life is free. I just like free stuff so much that having to pay kinda sucks. Especially when you are trying to find a free way using access to info to help you solve a problem.

Yup, I'm sure Rob feels that way too every month when the bills for hosting Android Forums hit his doormat. ;)

I suggest we wait for the announcement before jumping to conclusions.
 
I use to frequent some other forums quiet a bit and they had some "premium members" areas and they just seemed to be littered with porn.... IMHO Nothing on this forum is worth paying for.... The information that people provide is great and everything, but not good enough that I would pay for it. Like I said though thats just MHO.
 
(Classifieds have been changed to 25 posts or more, the premium membership will have less ads, added perks. We're not making anyone pay for anything, this is still a free site. Really its to give people so inclined to help with the costs a bit of a perk. This place costs a small fortune to run. VIP section.. still up in air with that.. and what might be included within. Details of all of this still being worked out - more details in the coming days. I may have already said too much ;) )

that all sounds fair enough... One thing a car forum that i frequented did to kind of entice people a little more is give a small window decal for signing up.... just a thought........ ill pay if you let me be a mod :-p
 
FYI - The announcement of this is very likely going to be delayed until next Monday or so. There's some stuff still to work on and we want it to be as complete as we can when announcing - and it's going to be a busy week news-wise this week, due to Mobile World Congress. We probably won't have a chance to focus on it.
