On a side note I just saw the razr commercial on TV.....so stupid Verizon always has these weird commercials that don't even show the phones....seems odd to.me I never know the commercials are about a phone uuntil they say it lol

There's no right or wrong way, but here's my advice fwiw.


  • You seem to have a lot of domain knowledge and no doubt that's very appealing. (No sarcasm or buttering up or anything.)
  • However - that's not going to be accessible to everyone and that's ok, too.
  • So - consider repeating the stories at each domain level in the first post.
    • Say up front that the main deal is in the first part, other parts are optional and very fun to know.
    • Continue from there in outline form, with numbers. Can do with depth of one or however many levels into the depth makes sense.
    • I suggest these candidates to just give the idea, you do as you like, tho -
      • 1. What chargers can I use? What do I look for?
        • Discuss USB and wall chargers
      • 2. Why doesn't my battery show 100% or why does my battery drain 8% in just a few minutes?
        • It doesn't, etc.
      • 3. Battery tech
        • Electro-chemical details of lithium ion batteries
      • 4. Advanced topics for propellerheads like EarlyMon
        • Applying quantum theory to batteries - I'll be looking forward to that! :)
      • 5. nkk's credits to others, references, and credentials
        • However you'd like to arrange
      • 6. OPTIONAL - change history or edit reason or whatever like that
    • Put anything below the main bullets in hide tags, and then anything in sublevels below hide tags or not as you see fit
      • For the many folks only interested in one or two areas - or just reviewing a single area on a given day, that keeps it super-neat and compact.
  • As soon as you make the thread, immediately make a second post and just say, "Reserved"
  • Top of first post, red, bold, italic - "Work in progress, please do not move to another forum, per EarlyMon"


That's really a good model to use for any official info thread - including how to mod simply (I got the idea from Matlock in the Evo 4G All Things Root forum. ;) :) )

Your second post could become recommended chargers or batteries or similar accessories - and if you buddy up with someone down the road, we can place their important posts in the reserved area next to yours (although - their posting dates will become lies, no one cares about that :D).

OK - no time to proof read this, pretend it's perfect, you'll get the idea! :) ;)

PS - Kudos on using the word interstitial in a post. I've been tempted so many times, but only did that once while explaining strings and m-theory in a lounge thread on the speed of light! :D Srsly - nicely done!

So that's what, *counts on fingers* three separate, independent sources which have all said the 17th? Either misinformation spreads far, or, more likely, and hopefully, in one week we'll be seeing the Galaxy Nexus!!! :D

I honestly have never been so excited over a 4.65 inch piece of glass/plastic/metal :)
