And yep again. I was just about to post that.

People, the loopholes have pretty much been filled. Contrary to popular opinion, Verizon isn't stupid.

Right now, if you want to go down the "buy a phone then sell it to pay for the GNex route", the most cost effective way is to buy and activate an iPhone on your line. Resale on the iPhones is always very high.

Of course, that's not including the extra cost to delouse after using an iPhone. :D

You can bring a dumb phone to vzw to activate on the new line... I went in and talked to them yesterday about this. I will add a new line to purchase gnex, activate dumb phone on new line, and use gnex on my current line.

ugh. the env touch I feel for ya bro I had the voyager (had to get it replaced 4 times) then they sent me an env touch then I broke it last black Friday and got the og Droid incredible and that was miles aheah and for you the galaxy nexus will be light years ahead (pun intended)

But your GNex is being activated. What NKK was saying is that if you try to buy a smartphone, but don't activate it, Verizon charges you retail. It must be activated.

They closed that loophole so people couldn't get subsidized phones and then flip them on Ebay as new.

Wow seriously... I'm working at PASIC, an international drum convention /exposition here in Indy. Got there at 7 this morning. took a break at 9:30a and checked in here to find not much going on. Post count was around 25,400.

Me and the missus hook up after and go out for a couple of cool pops, then food. Finally get home and check in again....

Seriously? 900 posts in that time?!

So you're eligible for an upgrade and you want to add a line, is that right? I don't see any problem in that. But these questions are always better suited for a VZW rep. Or at least someone more familiar with their policies than me.

No, I'm not on Verizon at all. I'm transferring a line from ATT.

so if I had an upgrade on my brothers line I would have to activate it on his line then transfer it to mine right?

What a wonderful day this turned out to be. We got ourselves a third informant who's leaning toward the 17th too. The battery in that phone was 1850. The bigger battery does not make the phone bigger by much, if at all. What more could we ask for? Really. Think about it. Well, yes, there's world peace. ;)

My girlfriend just pointed out that all this stuff about "delayed" unofficial release dates has been a bit like the whole end of the world thing. Steven and his mysterious sources, no official word from anybody, and us all going its definitly gonna be <date>. nope, actually <new date>, but this time its for realsies guyz, seriously. And of course, all the plans being made for what we're gonna do when the day is upon us.

Although I actually am pretty confident in the 17th release date, and very confident in steven and his sources. All above comments are in jest, and mainly aimed at myself and those who have clung to one date after another with far too much certainty. /disclaimer

I'd much rather prefer the 17th, as well... but I won't be disappointed with the 21st. The one that say 23rd is the arrival date though... presumably the customers arrival date at their home. 11/21 is much better than 12/31 :D

My guess is still the 17th. And that these accessories are expected by the resellers on the 17th (or close to that).

Yeah considering neither of these are official Verizon accessories, I'm still holding out for the 17th. If the 15th comes and goes with no official word, I'll accept that it will be later.
