I posted this in its own thread, but figured I'd ask here as well...

Any idea what dimensions I need to re-size wallpaper to fit on the Rezound's 7 screens??

I currently have a Droid Inc and the wallpaper is 960x800. I wanna have my wallpaper ready to go as soon as I get the phone Monday.

Would someone with a Rezound already be willing to figure this out for me?

Thanks in advance!

I answered your thread in more detail, but I think that it'll be 1280 x 1440. I think you just double the horizontal measurement of the screen resolution (Inc1's 480 x 2 = 960) so 720 x 2 = 1440. The larger of the 2 numbers in the wallpaper size is the width (wallpapers are landscape rather than portrait because of horizontal scrolling). Anyone else wanna chime in and confirm or deny?

from what i have seen from sense 3.o and 3.5 roms I though they got rid of the horizontal scrolling ... but that is what i have seen on roms and haven't actually played with an official sense 3.x phone sorry if i am wrong

So if I understand you right, we no longer scroll horizontally over the wallpaper image, but instead move the icons & widgets over a static image in the background when we scroll? An example would be if you had a picture on a table, and put a sheet of clear plastic with icons on it and slid it from side to side but left the picture underneath in the same position.

That does make sense how they are able to do the carousel thing and also how wrap around scrolling works. Otherwise (with wrap around scrolling) you'd see the wallpaper image snap back from one edge to the other. In that case, the wallpaper should just be 1280 high x 720 wide, right?

from what i have seen in roms that i have used yes there is no scrolling and i think it is because of the looping home screens so it is the same background picture on all of the home screens and you wont reach the edge of it when coming to the end

and yes that should be the dimensions

I think I followed all that, but I still don't fully get it. I could be wrong, but I think there's still horizontal scrolling that affects the image as well. I'd have to think the background image needs to be bigger than the home screen to allow it to fit on the additional screens.

Guess we won't know till someone tries as 1440x720 image.

Cool, I asked on the wallpaper thread if any of the members who had a Rezound could try a wallpaper with that resolution and see if it worked. I'll look for their response tomorrow.

If they were to do the wrap around scrolling but using the wallpaper covering all of the homescreens like they have done on previous versions of Sense, if you kept scrolling left, you'd get to the left edge of the image, then all of the sudden you'd be at the right edge of the image. By keeping the image non movable and sliding the icons and widgets on a transparent layer over top of the non movable image, it looks much more polished.

So basically every version of Sense before 3.0 was one layer with icons & widgets on that same layer. With Sense 3.0 and newer, there are 2 layers, a non movable image (wallpaper) layer on the bottom, and a movable transarent layer with the icons & widgets on it on top.

yes exactly this sorry if my wording was a bit unclear my medicine is kicking in and its late :)

Oh and before I forget, owners new to 4G and/or Verizon, the NFL Mobile app is free for this year. If you're a sports junkie, might as well put that great screen to good use.

Have people seen demo units of the Rezound in the Verizon store before it comes out on Monday around the Raleigh NC area?

Thinking of going by and trying it out...

Just got mine from a store, super initial impressions are very good. I personally don't mind the size at all, in fact I like that it is a bit fatter as it rests FAR better in my hand for 1-handed operation.
Screen is superb, on-par with the retina displays clean viewing and colors. Can't comment on battery life yet, as I have had it for about 30 minutes.
4G connection speeds are 16mb down, 6mb up where I am at, if that is bad then I am happy with bad lol.
Camera is stupidly quick and the wide-angle is awesome, haven't tested in-depth for quality yet.

You bought this from a Verizon Wireless store already? I heard people were able to get them to ship, but I didn't know the stores were selling already.

No, third party store. I just asked if they had them, he came out with a fresh box and asked me if I wanted it. I asked him if he was serious, I then handed over my CC and walked out with a smile.

Nice. No you know you will be bombarded with requests for a full review ASAP of course. :)

Is this IN STORES on Monday, or only available to order? I'll be calling to speak to a manager Monday morning because my NE2 won't be up till late Dec...then I'll ask if I can do an in-store pickup...
unless you guys have details on all that?

I did that when I got my Thunderbolt. I spoke with someone in Retentions, was actually considering moving to Sprint (there was a cute girl that was assisting me, what can I say?). I checked out their 4G phones, did a speedtest on it, and wow only 1 GB faster than my 3G Verizon phone? I kindly walked away, but I did call Verizon up prior to my decision and told them that I was offered a great deal on a new phone and told them that my contract expired in a few months. The lady did her thing on her computer and I walked into the store and walked out with my Thunderbolt.

Those Ky boys are smart! ;)

Some thoughts on the SOUND of this, cause lets face it, this is a major selling point.
Firstly, the iBeats supplied headphones.... Yeah they are horrible for anyhting with mid-range. For highs and LOWS, they are ok. For rap, they put enough thump out to actually rattle your nogging. The mids are so muddy its like wadding through butter though.
Using my Audio-Technica M50s with the pair of them(I can't find how to force Beats ON, so this is just stock for stock), Megadeth's Hanger 18 sounded far crisper and smoother on the Vigor (lets face it, this was a better name anyway). Sting's Desert Rose, the vocals were cleaner, the beat itself far easier to hear and especially the highs far crisper. Mirror Mirror Blind Guardian was WAY better, you could hear each instrument as it was played vs. the D2 which just kind of smushed them together. Us and Them by Pink Floyd, the mids were a bit weaker on the Vigor but not bad enough to annoy but it can be noticed side-by-side.
I watched some scenes from Iron Man 2 and Lord of the Rings, both sounded and of course LOOKED better.
Overall, I am very happy with the audio of these, the Beats might be just branding but at least compared to what I am coming from, the sound is better in all ways.
The speaker on this thing btw, can fill a whole room. It is almost painfully loud and while has next to no low or mid range, doesn't distort even at super high volumes.
