Hi Everyone-
I have been lurking here for a few weeks, I didn't register and post because I don't have any good info to add. I felt like I owe it to you guys though to register and announce myself because I have gotten enough good info to drive myself nuts, and I appreciate it.

I am grandfathered into an unlimited data plan on the strongest carrier in the country.

My area (Temecula Ca.) just got 4g.

I have an upgrade.

Bring. Me. My. Phone. I can hear her calling for me! Freedom!

Hey everyone. I've been following this thread now for a couple of months as best I can since it moves so fast. Just wanted to say I share in the excitement for this phone and the anticipation is killing me. I have a 2.5+ year LG Dare that I'm hanging on to until this comes out. It'll be my first smart phone! Can't wait and hope we hear something soon.

I remember my LG Dare. It was a really nice phone, minus the non-fortified glass that I eventually scratched. I was in love with the camera, the panorama mode was my favorite :)

Anyway, if you're a slow mover like me, and just can't find satisfaction in those multi-player games, I have the solution for you -

IMHO it's officially announced when you type Galaxy Nexus on Verizon's website and and email sign up page appears. That's what I would have said anyway.

Funny you should mention that. I just found out maybe 3 weeks ago it had a panorama mode after 2.5+ years! I guess that's what I get for not reading up on the phone more closely after I got it or not playing with the camera options more. I've used screen protectors since I got it and don't have any scratches and it still works great, that's why I've been holding out so long for a really great, 4g, smart phone. Nexus is that for me.

I decided I was going to be done with the Nexus rollercoaster for tonight...and then my girlfriend posted an image of the GNex logo on my Facebook wall...I'm back on it. GIVE ME MY PHONE VERIZON!!!!

You'd think they would want my money...
 
I don't do Facebook, so I stopped by the local corporate Verizon store and waited until they locked up for the night. I hopped out of my car and dropped a burning bag of cat poo in front of the door while slapping a sticky note on the window demanding a release date for the Nexus.

I hope I helped the cause.

i was at the VZW corporate store on saturday and today, my sales person wasnt there. on saturday, i spoke with a sales person there showed me the RAZR, i told him that i was interested in the galaxy nexus, he told me its been delayed til december. today a different guy told me that it is coming out before christmas.

they were both bad sales people specially the second sales person from today(never smiled and barely spoke). they should have realized that i wasnt gonna go for the RAZR or the rezound and atleast pretend to care about what i wanted instead of hoping i change my mind.

no wonder customers are afraid of sales people...bad sales people give all sales people a bad name.

Try being an ultrasound tech and scan 12 or 13 year old girls becoming a mother for the first time.

Or worse that girl is 6 years younger than your own daughter.

The whole process makes me think, "when I was your age. . ."

When you think like that, by definition you are old. Ugh can't even find my Geritol.

Yeah. I mentioned that there was already an official press release stating it will be out before years end. He then said he knew nothing. All seemed pretty prepared like he isn't supposed to say or hint anything somehow the way he delivered it. I could be reading into things.
