Steven,

Was wondering if you could post this information I just received through a friend that works at Verizon. I would love to keep it anonymous so posting through you might be the easiest way to do so.

This is what he told me:
Verizon Insider said:
The phone is still in user testing right now. Last week they found some software issues so they pushed an update to the phone -- that is why its stuck in user testing. Supposedly they're reports are due early next week, but last I heard we may see the phone release early next week (21st maybe since I know those are dates going around the internet). Unfortunately though I am just as lost as you are, but this is the information I am getting from coworkers. I'm not sure because user testing usually is a 5-day period which would push it to the Monday after Thanksgiving, but I don't think that late. As soon as I hear I will give you more info.

The phone is amazing though -- super fast and super snappy. 4G makes it even more ridiculous though.

Thanks.

Just thinking, my anniversary is on the week of November 28th. What better a gift from my partner than for me to play with a new Nexus over our anniversary dinner. :D

I wouldn't mind November 28th. Heck, I wouldn't mind December 1. I just want to know. (But not at the expense of being a tool.)

Judging from her text, I bet we're looking at late November/early December.

She said I "wouldn't be thrilled", not "You're going to be pissed" or "you're going to be so happy!"

that could just be a sarcastic way of saying "you're gonna be majorly pissed off"

This does not make me happy. My cousin recently switched from her Incredible to an iPhone despite my pleadings for her not to. I told her she'd be sorry when she sees what she's missing come Thanksgiving. I'm really going to hate showing up to grandma's house next week without a Galaxy Nexus.

Doesn't make sense as those people have 30 days to trade in on a GNex.

After a month the average person already has pictures on it, text messages, they've learned how to use it. Let's face it, people are lazy - they're not going to bother trading it in. For Android aficionados it will be worth the trouble, but for most - nah.

Hey gang, what a long day followed by a long night and longer day!

In a way, I'm just waking up - one of my pals said I'd be here soon, but I didn't think it would be this soon!

Ok, data template handoff from older model in 4... 3... 2...

So this source says Monday after Thanksgiving if user testing ends? That's the 28th Kellex heard - sorta lines up.

I still wanna see 21st (web only), 25th or 28th in stores.

So user-reported issues are keeping it held back? So does that mean that windsock is keeping us from having our phone?
