A great morning! it is we are within reach of our desires and getting through the wknd ought to be a piece of cake compared to what most have endured...hold strong gang have a great Thursday ;)
 
I just want 10 AM EST to come around to see if there's any Verizon announcements then. Next week can't come soon enough, I might have to reschedule a dentist appointment if this phone is available Tuesday. ;)

I was worried about that too. but i will say that the most annoying thing about my droid is that the micro usb for charging isnt in the same location as the audio out. trying to charge while playing music at the same time is really challenging. after messing with my fiance's ipod touch in the car, i actually prefer them to be in the same location. if i'm trying to change the song, review a text (still legal where i come from :P), etc in the car the cords won't get in the way as much. not sure about your use case tho...

Or do what I do and get a pair of bluetooth headphones. I don't miss going to the gym and having to be bothered by the headphone wires when I'm working out!
 
Yes! I've finally caught up on the 15 pages that have passed me by since last night. No need to reiterate what wonderful news we now have, but, of course, thanks to Han, his sis, Steven58 and the love tunnel! (Hm, I'd have thought Steven59's advanced AI would have picked up on this too. Maybe that's why it went into "Early" retirement? *grin*).

I was tied up last night with tv and playing around with the Rezound. Battery life will need tweaking for people. That being said, now my plan comes together...

Thankfully, I live directly across the street from a BJ's corporate VZW and a few blocks away from another separate brick&mortar VZW. I'll buzz them on the phone daily from Monday to determine whether they have a demo unit running. If so, I pack up my Rezound and bring it with me to the store. I'll run the device through its paces, fully scrutinize the screen, then make my decision. Absolute worst and unlikely scenario? I get the GNex, dislike it, and go back to a Rezound. Either way, a win-win!

I'd like to take a moment to express my appreciation to all the people on this thread. Your kindness, enthusiasm, and humor make such waiting a bearable thing. We'll all definitely have to keep in touch in the lounge area when we're all not busy pinging each other about every aspect of our nexus. You rock.
(yes, nexus is actually the plural of nexus, as is nexuses. surprising that nexi isn't a word. Especially considering I took 5 years of Latin...).
Next on my list...the Transformer Prime! (unless Lenovo or someone one-ups it!) :D

I'm perhaps a bit late, but just a quick tip: when you call in to their customer service to request that they move up your upgrade date, make sure that you select the option to take a quick survey after the call (the option is presented early in the call; if you don't get it, call back). Then, if things aren't going quite as well as you hoped, casually mention that you did opt to take the survey and that you plan to be honest--in a friendly, non-threatening manner, of course! This worked for me in the past, and I was able to get my upgrade moved three weeks earlier.

LOL, and I'd love to be able to sell my house and LEAVE!

In my business, things are better everywhere outside of Atl. The only redeeming factor is the sheer size of the pie means there are things to do. But that part of the pie is being split into too many pieces. When contractors operate with no liability insurance, workers comp or are even here illegally, they have less overhead to cover and price accordingly.

Welcome South, brother! Most folks are pleasant, till you start talking about their job or their money or their rotting house....LOL

I am in Woodstock. Do you ride motorcycles? Nirvana is about an hour north....
 
I recall seeing a horizontal Nexus dock somewhere, so I KNOW it's coming. Just not sure from whom. If from Sammy, fine. If not, fine.

But we are mere DAYS away from Launch... accessories will start flooding to market very soon :)
