Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

A few suggestions for future versions:

-Include Appwidget Picker
[APP] AppWidget Picker - Makes Selecting Widgets Simpler!

For those who are not familiar, this 16kb bit consolidates widgets that have multiple widgets.
For example, BeatyfulWidgets, instead of having 9 widgets to scroll through you have one entry with a sub menu.
It looks simple and stock.

-Notification Copy
There are some scenarios where an entry is highlighted and the border becomes white and the white copy is illegible.
Also, the sub copy is black when a song plays for example and is also illegible.

-Orange Removal
There are still some areas with orange...I am assuming you want to replace all the orange with white....or perhaps green for contrast??
I know when you press down a check box item it turns orange.
Some copy is orange on the keyboard as well where the auto correct suggestions are.
The line under the tabs in the dialer turns orange when you click on the selected tab...(perhaps make these areas green?)
Selecting a contact turns the frame around the picture orange as well, and the little slide out menu has orange selection when items are pressed on it.
Buttons turn orange when they are pressed as well.
(Not too important though, just some nit-picky cosmetics)

on the orange issue I believe you can change those colours in Menu>Preferances>General thats where i changed mine to Bluish color for focus and keypress

What do you mean it crashes? When you turn on the phone 3g wont come on then the phone reboots?
 
Taking for test drive now....i hope it is not a battery killer like CM7------
Ok-- well it sucks sofar---flashed it and all it does is bootloop sweeeet
re-flashed and still boot loop.. ugh was looking forward to this

i don't think you're waiting long enough. first boot after flashing a rom or even a mod can take around five minutes or so. you flashed it three times in ten minutes. be patient.

All its saying is "samsung" then the samsung galaxy prevail logo back and forth-----is that supposed to happen ?
 
Ok i got it installed now A2SD is not working---cant move dalvik to sd...not enough space says wtf not my day,

Is there a specific way to get it to work,, CM7 had a option to have apps installed external what about this? yes i mounted data and sys before install

Nevermind, sorry for freak out post lol been long stressfull day spent 3 hours trying to get shabby 0.9 with honeycomb to work with A2sd....I forgot to format SD through CWM :-) Doh
 
ok sorry for posting so much haha...sofar so good blazing fast...like it sofar much better then CM7 thanks for your hard work.

there are differences in the amss partition between CM7 and released gingerbread. it was the only file I found binary differences in that I was not expecting. everything else is either a binary match, or should be different

Mine is doing the same thing. When you go to turn on 3g an error pops up,( the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.). Went back to 2.0 and 3g works again.

o ok, well im not complaining :-) works great--nice and light....only thing would make perfect for me is a Honeycomb theme for this... i love that theme....but hey ill test through out day let you know how goes. with any luck it wont go from 100% battery to 19% in 2 hrs just listening to music like CM7 does for me.

is this only happening when you go into settings/wireless & network settings/mobile networks?
 
I have been skeptical of the claims of better service with certain ROMs, but today I held long conversations in two different areas where I've never had enough service to talk before flashing this mod. I can't say for sure that CTMod is the reason, but I've been driving in this area for almost a year and I've come to know Boost's dead spots quite well, and after flashing CTMod 2.1 last night, I was able to talk through two of my worst dead spots. Last Friday, I was not able to talk in either of these areas.

Even if CTMod had nothing to do with my better service, it's an awesome ROM and I'm very happy with the overall performance increase of the phone. Thanks Bloodawn!
 
1 question the tram optimization script is that built in or do i have to get script manager and find it in folders?

Blood, same problem, same message. I just flashed the fix and tried it again. I have flashed the phone a few times back and forth. When I'm on 2.0 everthang is awsome.
 
the reason its crashing in settings/wireless & network settings/mobile networks is cause i removed the data throttle and going in there looks for it

why are you guys trying to disable/enable 3g in there anyway? the widget works without crashing
 
I cant get Gallery to install i used Titanium backup to restore and it just gets stuck at restoring every time and i need to restart, and i downloaded the app from the removed apps and tried to install that and it says installing then says this app is not installed and only option is to click ok... any help? Other then that it seams to be working pretty well.
