Steven58 and I have gotten some pretty reliable confirmations from Verizon store managers that the SGN will be available for purchase in stores on Monday 11/21. Phil from AndroidCentral also said his source gave him 11/21 but then retracted it and said they were still deciding on a date... meanwhile we have been expecting pre-orders for tomorrow, Friday 11/18, or at least some sort of announcement by Verizon.
 
Well after watching Tim Tebow pull off another miracle, i am headed to bed. Good night Nexicans, maybe an even bigger miracle will happen tomorrow and we'll see a pre-release!

We have about 4 sources corroborating that it will release the week of the 21st. And stores have reportedly started getting posters / marketing tools / demo units. Many insiders have also stated that without a major setback that the device will release the 21st. (not that they haven't been wrong before)

Also, I text my Verizon Rep. today while at work about the release date of the Nexus. He replied back apologizing for replying back so late, that he's been in meetings all week and that he has training on the SGN. He said that although he doesn't have a firm release date, he knows that its coming really soon. Pretty much same info has Han and Steven. So atleast we have some consistency between dates.

Still rumors of Monday...small chance of a pre-order tomorrow. I think that's why most of us are here...holding out til midnight.

EDIT: How do I still get ninja'd when the thread is moving so slow lol...cant type in my sleep as well as I swype...may need to switch to the app
 
Wait a second, out of curiosity who exactly said that pre-orders would be live by midnight tonight? When has Verizon ever done a midnight pre-order... lol

On the Ifixit Razr teardown it looks like there could be a way to change the battery out. May not be easy though and moto should have a way to get into the phone should there be a defective battery.

I am sure you are correct. But I use a lot of data, out and about away from chargers that I have everywhere I might slow down for a few minutes. On my D2, my minimum battery usage is 1 extended and one regular a day. Many days it is a 3rd standard battery as well. I am not a battery or data hoarder. I dont turn off things. I burn them up, pop another one in and keep going. I actually own 1 extended and somehow accumulated 4 or 5 standard batteries. Really, 2 extended batteries is all I need.

I look forward to seeing what the battery life and extended battery situation is with the nex. If all else fails, 3 standard batteries should be enough with an external charger.

The razor would never work for me.

I agree and very much hope that they are right. But just to be fair and balanced, we have also has several reports from store managers that are either clueless or positive that it won't release on 11/21 or even next week.

On topic: droid no longer refreshes my browser, G+, or fBook. Anything happen in the last two+ hours since I was at work?

Thanks for the updates! I didn't expect the thread to move so fast. I normally check in at work, but today was a busy day (actually was productive for the first time in like....2 weeks lol) and never got a chance to check in.

Awesome to hear some semi-firm dates, and the fact that multiple people are saying that same dates is extremely reassuring. Hopefully we'll see some preorders go up soon. I got my trigger finger ready! I've never been more anxious to spend money!
