I've been following the forum for a week or so now - thought I'd chime in. I don't know if way off base here, but the Samsung GN site seems to be under construction. Might be something...or maybe it's just the mobile version (haven't checked the Samsung site on my touchpad before)

(Can't post link yet)

Regardless, I'm looking forward to upgrading from my iPhone 3GS next week.

Welcome! You picked either an awesome day to join in, or a terrible one. It's probably going to be pretty hectic in here. :D

Good morning G'nexers -- woke up to 20 new pages of content and still trying to catch up with all of them. So I guess the overall theme was no phone last night and rumors of the 21st are getting more and more solid.

Still can't decide if I want to go to corporate store Monday morning or try and see Amazon's pricing on the device -- I am assuming most are just going to go to a corporate store? Anyone thinking of waiting til Black Friday / Cyber Monday to see if there is a price drop?

An awesome article for setting up Google Music: Properly Set Up Google Music

Got a lot of time to kill while my girlfriend gets her wisdom teeth out today -- I'll check back in later.

As someone who works in the IT medical field, this scares the heck out of me :/

Hmmm......

Would that be due to functionality issues as The Chief suggests?

Or due to possible encroachment into your professional area?

This is a serious question. Not poking.

I could get fired for taking pictures in the backroom. If I am ever there alone, I'll try to snap a pic. Bestbuy is very stingy with their policy

I might be crazy, but unless Best Buy pays really well, it is totally worth getting fired over...just kidding, NOT REALLY...OPEN IT DAMN IT :)

I have been exploring the Ice Cream Sandwich Site and finally read to the bottom of the page.

Wifi Direct and Bluetooth HDP are big deals.

"Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth HDP

Support for Wi-Fi Direct lets you connect directly to nearby peer devices over Wi-Fi, for more reliable, higher-speed communication. No internet connection or tethering is needed. Through third-party apps, you can connect to compatible devices to take advantage of new features such as instant sharing of files, photos, or other media; streaming video or audio from another device; or connecting to compatible printers or other devices.
Android 4.0 also introduces built-in support for connecting to Bluetooth Health Device Profile (HDP) devices. With support from third-party apps, you can connect to wireless medical devices and sensors in hospitals, fitness centers, homes, and elsewhere."

Awesome.

GN only has Bluetooth 3 so some of the new functionality will not be available.

I do think there is language about the # of exchanges you can make. An I think they say one... If you are doing it all on one transaction each time... Not sure how they define a return and new purchase vs. an exchange though.... I'd look it up on their policies... BB is better about # of returns and no restocking fee...

Just read their returns policy and there seems to be nothing specific about returning equipment, getting a refund minus the $35 restocking fee and then starting an entirely new purchase, not a swap.

The language is specific about swapping, one swap allowed, period.

Grrrrrr...I'm in a four hour training and I feel totally disconnected from my favorite forum! This is gonna drive me nuts. I'm doubting I'll be learning much today. My head is hard wired to the Gnex thread.
