***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So I just talked to my local Verizon store. Spoke the my usual guy. He at least knew about the SGN. He thought it would be released sometime before Christmas. He put me on hold to ask his manager. When he came back, he said to just keep checking because no release date yet. I asked if they had any in stock and he said "not to my knowledge", I then asked if they had any accessories and he said "no, we don't usually get those til they release the phones".

I sure hope he doesn't know what he is talking about. I really want the phone MONDAY!!!!

Crap, now look what pulled up. 1 handtruck load

I am still trying to catch up today, so I am not sure this was covered. I saw some people were freaked out about flash not working on ICS. I do not know if that was resolved with the comments about Adobe announcing they will no longer support the mobile platform just before ICS was released or not. But remember, whatever may initially not work with ICS, or have compatibility issues, we will pretty much be the testers for ICS before it gets put on phones. When I had my Nexus S, there were 3 updates pushed to it in less than 2 months.

I know there are many who know what I am talking about, but many seem to be unprepared. I listed this in the thread below. I think the Nexus experience is well worth it due to the great support by Google.

Anyways, I am just happy we are all finally getting it no matter what country we are in!

DSCR, go up to the loading bay as they're taking the boxes out. Look like you know exactly where you're going. Ask for Sam. If they say "There's no Sam here", check your phone for a few minutes while saying "He was supposed to meet me here about a job." Look casually at the boxes to see if they have any labels on them.

If someone says "Yeah, I'm Sam, what do you want?" Say, "Oh, I'm Larry, I'm here about the job." If he says quizzically "What job? What are you talking about?", take your phone out and check the text messages for a few minutes while you say things like "This is Verizon, right? I'm supposed to meet a Sam here for a warehouse job interview?" Casually look at the boxes to see if they have any labels on them.

Go!

Kinda like in Burn Notice or something. I like it

If you actually put in your full address you get a map showing the level of coverage in your specific area. 4G is all over the Tampa Bay area :)

Yeah, been getting great LTE coverage in Tampa for the last 8 months since escaping from ATT for VZW (made the switch 2 weeks before unlimited data stopped).

Off topic:

I saw this on my way to work this morning and almost turned around to follow so I could get pics. Then I realized I wouldn't be able to catch up if I did that.

Recently CNET seems to be really apple centric maybe that is why they lost some many people

while CNET may be a little pro-Apple, we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that it did rate the RAZR higher than the iP4s, and said the RAZR is about the best phone out there right now. CNET may not be gospel, but they do give some pretty decent reviews of devices.

Well, snap photo. Upload to photobucket. Go to photobucket, grab img code. Go to phandroid, post. Twice.

And now i am stalking. I had just walked out when the first one pulled up after the manager swore there were no boxes in the back. He came out to receive the boxes. I am giving him enough time bto open the boxes before i go back in to see if he can lie with the same straight face.

Then reply to this.

Stalking takes time, people......
