I'm wondering why nobody has side-loaded the .apk to let us know if Flash even works on ICS or not.

I switched to Android specifically because of the full internet experience which included Flash. If Flash doesn't work on ICS at all, that may cause me to re-think my next phone purchase, including the GNex.
Apparently it was tried and failed. :(

Spoke with my "source" again (Just the same guy I spoke with last night who is just as much into this phone as we are)...And he said the most heard date hanging around his store and the people he knows is also 12/8, and he hadn't even seen the latest screenshot that was posted an hour or so ago. He said also to not rule out next week still, but not to count on it. Oh and Hans, if your lurking, I got his name this time. So don't spank me...

Oh BTW what was the result of that meeting you had this morning? I probably missed it if you posted earlier.

That guy Charlie from the UK tried it earlier today. It loaded, but said something about the device not being comaptible.

as much as this reminds me of the thunderbolt release all over again, at least they haven't started showing commercials for the device yet. i wanted to smash my TV every time i saw one of the HTC ads during the 3 weeks they were on before the bolt's release. otherwise, conditions are exactly the same; intentionally keeping customers in the dark to sell more of a current device. the iphone4 had just come to VZ when the bolt was supposed to be released, now we're stuck waiting on the GNex because of the razr. if this weren't the case, they would have said something about a release date by now. VZ simply knows that if they give us a date, people may wait. if they don't, people will buy what is already available.

bottom line though: lack of communication is the easiest way to ruin any relationship, personal or business.

Hey peeps, just got off the phone with my sister.

She realized that I was freaking out a little bit, so she called a coworker who works in an assistant position where she is more in the know than my sister is.

She tells me that she is still hearing next week. She made it a point to say that she doesn't know if it will be Monday, but that Verizon thinks that having the SGN for sale during Black Friday/Cyber Monday is their best bet.
I'm still pretty hopeful for next week, for what it's worth.

Smiley face smiley face wink wink

It's friday night... I've got nothing to do... It's only 7:30 here... I'm seriously considering making a trip to the vzw store to test drive the rezound......

Don't count out the Razr. :) Do a typing test on the Rezound and the Razr, look at the reception. Rezound definitely has a better camera, but video has a bug it studders.

Well, regardless the news, my OG Droid is still a champ after 2 years, and I'm willing to wait for this phone. There's absolutely nothing else VZ has that will entice me until then. I'm a sucker for a fast shooting camera. :)

Woohoo. Even though this SGSII is frickin' awesome hardware, i would still like a GNex.

I went into the Forum for the SGSII, and I felt like I was cheating on you guys and gals.

How can Flash not be compatible with Android ICS? This makes no sense. Is the browser converting existing Flash content into HTML 5? I may not upgrade. Feeling lost.........Steven........where are you?
There are some mobile browsers with flash built in, so I'm not worried in the short term.
