Whoa whoa whoa settle down folks... everyone take a deep breath. Who the hell needs more than 4-8gb anyway? Everything is going to the cloud... documents, music, video. You really don't need it. It's the new Google paradigm. If you max out 16gb you aren't using your Nexus as prescribed.

Well the problem with that is data caps. If you have a bunch of music you listen to on your phone, it makes no sense to stream it, using all your data for something that could be local. 16 Gigs is a fair amount, but if you don't want to have to pick and choose what music from your library you want and have to keep interchanging it all the time, then 16Gb is not a whole lot to be honest. If Verizon brings back the unlimited data option however, then hell, I probably wouldn't need more than 4 gigs either! Alas, that is not the case, and those of us who have lost the unlimited plan would rather not waste the data on things that shouldn't have to eat into the data cap

Not to mention the 'cloud' is not stable nor effectively protected by law.

BTW back on the topic of an announcement coming from the actual Verizon website, I think if they were to get rid of a panel on that home page thing they should get rid of that stupid "Account Analysis" thing... NO ONE CARES, WE JUST WANT THE NEXUS!

I use the My Verizon app. It provides some decent info. But I also think it should be a download, and not mandatory.

none of my friends, family, classmates or coworkers knew about this phone until i told them..and i don't think they ran and told anyone because they don't really care so much about this sort of thing.

And how many people knew about the DInc before it released? Everything was Motorola Droid before that. I think the DInc did pretty well especially considering the screen shortages caused less sales then it could have had. It's still a well respected phone today even with all the other phones that have come since.

Still, the DInc is definitely not as big of a phone as the OG Droid. IMO Verizon got off to a good start with the OG Droid and the whole marketing campaign for that. But it bugs me that now most people only know Android phones by the "Droid" name...

"Oh is that a Droid?"
"No, it's an HTC Thunderbolt!"

So, another weekend trying to keep the mind occupied and not thinking about what could have been. I know I'll get more chores done this weekend for not having this phone yet.

You mean like how you keep sprouting off that Verizon's return policy is different then stated on their own web site and in stores? And argue to no end about that also?

Yes exactly the same, I wanted to get as much information out as possible. I don't want to argue about that, but I still think a lot of people may be misinformed on that policy.

I'm never leaving Verizon, I got grandfathered into unlimited and as far as I can tell no other carrier has any plans to ever bring it back... :D

I personally think they will eventually come back. We already see the first sign with the double your data deal. That's geared to pull people from signing with other carriers. What happens when the other carriers match it (and they eventually will)? Eventually the next step is for a carrier to raise the limit again, and again, and again until someone goes all in with unlimited data. Also remember that once LTE is completely implemented it will become cheaper to operate so they can afford to do more of these data "deals" to try and attract or retain more customers.

If you want to look to an example of this same type of scenario look no further than your home internet providers. They pretty much when down this same road and now unlimited is the standard.

No, she looks like a typical corporate Zombie..........which means she is undead, and therefore not afraid of OTD.......... LOL
LOL I'm on the same page now. I was thinking that you may post one of those hilarious Hitler vids that are all over YouTube. :D

Just saying, I don't mind a few laughs here and there but for a second I actually thought you were serious with that post and I got just a tad excited :P I guess I'm just overreacting and trying to be a mod lol.

Can someone give me the email address of one of those higher ups at Verizon? Or just that generic email address for the Leaderhship board, or whatever?

I want to email them (politely) explaining that this fiasco has lost the opportunity to earn 2 customers from AT&T. My friend and I both decided to buy the International version when we still had not heard a date today. This is a US Based Operating System's flagship phone, yet the UK gets it first? And Canada has a pre-order date and we don't? I just can't respect a company that behaves that way, nor can I give them my business. I'm sure they won't care, but I want to respectfully point out that they should consider doing things differently in the future.
