That might be the case, not quite sure. I've never attempted to go there on thanksgiving. However that doesn't stop them from web releasing it on thanksgiving as the official launch, but first day in store to get them would be black friday. I may have contradicted myself, but it made sense in my mind.

There has been more than one source this past week that still confirms that the Nexus will be released in November. There's only a week and a half left of November. I have a strong feeling it will be released sometime between tomorrow and cyber-Monday which is a week from tomorrow.

Sometime within that time frame, we'll have our new phones. If not, as Scott has pointed out, there is another date to look forward to. But, I personally don't hold the Dec. 8th date as gospel.

I think it makes perfect sense for them to release it for web orders on Thanksgiving (when everyone is at home with the family and talking about Christmas and other religious holidays to come before the year end) and then release it for in store sales on Black Friday. If nothing else something new and catching will draw more customers into the store and even if they don't walk out with the Nexus they could walk out with another phone. Then right after that and given time for another shipment to come in Cyber Monday hits and Verizon just made a lot of money with a strategic release date.


**On another note we are still catching up to that DInc pre-release thread. If it doesn't come out in November we will pass it, otherwise we have a lot of Nexus talk to do to pass it if it releases this week.

The december 8th date was started by that advertising schedule thing (new POP signs or something), and shortly after that we got pictures showing "launching all channels on December 8th."

Obviously people just want to stir stuff up after seeing that dec 8th advertising schedule. I don't believe those pictures that says "launching on all channels on dec 8th" for one second.

It's coming next week guys.
 
So I know this girl that works at a corporate VZW store. I (Of course) asked her about the gnex (about a week ago)
Her response was that she knew about it, but she doesn't get any info that isn't officially put out by vzw. She told me that in most cases she gets called into work a few hours early on release day for training, and that is all.

I wish I had more for ya.

I think the document is legit because someone trying to fake it would know that's not a Galaxy Nexus! It was probably a clueless Verizon graphic designer who just Googled "Nexus" and grabbed that for the chart!

So I bought my wife a new phone last night. She loves keyboards and wanted a fast phone with a big screen. Got her the Samsung Stratosphere. After reading this review in the quote above, I don't feel so bad about having to wait until next year to get my next phone. Yes I said next phone. I need to take a step off the train, enjoy my CyanogenModded DInc 2, take care of the family, holidays and taxes before I think about another phone. I will be around but I am over waiting for this phone as I now have no choice. Keep coming back, it works!

This is Sunday so by next week you mean THIS week? Just saying we are dealing w/ rumors, speculation, and conjecture so I need you to be exact because I am making you my official source on a new forum I am making 'The Official Galaxy Nexus Release Forum'
 
The more I read the reviews on this over at XDA, the more I think I should just go for the Rezound or even the RAZR. This "Media Device" bull is exactly why I don't/won't own an Iphone, and if the Nexus behaves even remotely the same, I'll be returning it the day I get it. Guess it's just one of those things I'll have to wait and see :/
