I'm ALMOST, but not entirely, tempted to waltz into the store tomorrow and pick up a Rezound or RAZR so I can at least have something new to fawn over. But I'll resist the urge, now that I think about it. I just want my Nexus already
We all want it! And it's SO close! I have decided not to tempt myself by even playing with a RAZR or ReZound in the store, because they're both pretty rockin' phones in their own right... but they're just not Nexus.
I've waited months for this phone, I can wait this little bit longer. This is a marathon, not a sprint: and the finish line is right around the curve. We can't see it, but we know it's close.

Trouble Just Finds Me!
I've thought about it but that would require getting dressed in clothes fit to leave the house and I'm just not up for more disappointment. I'll check on my way to work in the morning.
just installed on OG Droid - working well so far. no way of knowing that this is 100% safe though (in terms of malware - keyboards have lots of permissions)

I am hoping for a release this week, but here is my opinion on the whole mess (for what it is worth):
1. Matias Duarte said the phone would be available in November.
2. It makes no sense that Verizon would get exclusive rights to sell a phone in the U.S. and then not announce and try to hype/take advantage of the fact that they have the phone. A silent launch seems absolutely ridiculous to me.
3. Black Friday seems like a terrible day to release a phone. As others here have noted, Black Friday isn't a day that you go into a store and try to decide what type of phone to buy, test each of them out, and then make a decision. Black Friday is a day to run into a store, pick up all of the great deals, and get out. (If you are like me, Black Friday is a day to not go shopping, and instead, recover from all of the turkey you ate the previous day)
Although Matias does not work for Verizon, I would think he would have some idea of when this phone is coming out. I believe 1 is good evidence (at least as good as we are going to get) that the phone is coming out this month. Maybe someone can argue that 3 is not reasonable, but I believe BF is a bad day to launch a phone.
I think if there is going to be a release this month, we will hear an announcement tomorrow. A release tomorrow seems crazy, seeing as many of the stores are reporting that they have not received training yet.
Side note: I am also not sure that it makes sense launching a phone the day before Thanksgiving. I know a lot of people that took off from work and will be traveling to see their family either on Tuesday or on Wednesday.
As excited as I am for this phone, I am way more excited to see my family and eat delicious food on Thursday.

I know how you feel. However after reading the review from The Verge (awesome review btw, very in depth) I cannot help but lose excitement for the Razr. As much as I hate waiting for things I want really bad, just imagine how sweet it will be when we finally do get our paws on the GNex. It will happen.
Kickstarter that.
