Red Droid Incredible 2

So,I just saw Verizon will be releasing a red hTC Droid incredible 2 sometime this week maybe.
I wonder of the battery door of this red version will be exactly the same as the others? (black and white)
It seems stupid that given the poor reception issue of this phone that they would release a new color with the same exact battery door knowing of this issue.
On the other hand, it seems dumb to release a different color of the same exact model with an improved battery door for better reception.

Either way, I would like to pick up one of these OEM red battery doors (like on Amazon for 10 bucks or whatnot) for my black Dinc2 because i think it would look cool.
Since black red and white is my favorite color scheme. (the white being the capacitive buttons on the front)
You probably could just see the red accents with my black seidio active case on.
What do y'all think?
They are just probably slapping a red color on top of the existing design battery doors.
Well, just a thought...

There's a known issue with the battery door? What is it? I haven't had any problems with mine. What should I be looking for?

The antenna(s) are built into the inside of the battery door, if you start up your phone without it on or take it off, you will not get any kind of signal.

I was aware of that, but who tries to use their phone without a battery door? That's bizarre.

I can't say that I've ever had reception problems. I can say that I never pay any attention to how many bars I have so I have no clue what kind of signal I actually get. I call and if it goes through (which it always has so far unless I was in a place that always gets poor reception like a concrete basement) then I'm happy.

I had one of those nights last night...
First my Google account disappeared from my phone, tapping on gmail showed that the account was not configured, market would tell me to setup my Google account then when i would try to it would just go back to the home screen.
I could not add it back through the accounts and sync, the square lower case g's to add the account were gone, tried setup wizard, it would force close. Then i went into manage applications, HTC setup and setup wizard both had 0.00 & were grayed out in all options. Restart, nothing, pull, nothing, pull, nothing.
Pulled the trigger on a factory reset...
Phone still acting up... I will finish this post later...
 
God, what are you guys running that you need to pull batteries so often?!

I would love one of those backs if they improved reception, but I really doubt they changed anything in that department without announcing something.
 
I have an iphone and will now have the DINC 2 Red. Just ordered online. Had droids before and missed some of the features. Now i can bounce back and forth between the 2 OS's. Hoping I don't regret using my upgrade on this but free was too good to pass up!

Anyone know where I can get a black battery door for the regular battery? Can only seem to find ones for the extended battery, which I do not want.

I was able to find a standard, black battery door at my local Verizon store. Did you try calling around to see if anyone has one?
 
I apologize for the unavailable Amazon link...

Seems like there will be some unused red battery doors floating around in this thread... ;)
