Swung by the Verizon store and talked with the guy I have been working with re: signing up for a Verizon line. I got him to put me on an unofficial waiting list. So it's done. I'll get a call when it's in and then I'll be all set.
FWIW he had no idea of a release date (I didn't ask, but he asked around in front of me), and neither did anyone else present. I think I was the only customer in the store, and all the employees there were present for the asking.

Doctor Who.
MANY Doctors after I first started watching it
It's up to 11 now.
I started watching 4th and 5th Doctor episodes on PBS in the early 80's and still watch the classic series along with the 2005+ series today. Note my avatar pic and username.
A friend grew up watching the 1st - 3rd Doctors in the UK. He remembers watching the very first episode in 1963.

I liked it pretty well also. It reminded me a lot of my GF's DInc2, but with 4G and a dual core processor. I rented the RAZR instead, because I thought it would be harded to give up the ReZound. I would have named it something else though, and I know that topic was beaten to death, but I just hate the name. I still could not care less about Beats.

Don't think so thanks. Nice to see his adjustment to the new 3 software buttons was "surprisingly painless". The inconsistency in the buttons locations being app dependent could bother some. I don't see this as an issue for me and I can see updates easily modifying it if the masses start to scream. Hope the developers out there are on the ball!

Best app I ever purchased. Only thing on my home screen is the weather widget from Beautiful Widgets with the quick launch buttons on the bottom. If I could put it on my unlock screen I would.

Okay, so here is my obligatory "I just spoke with a CSR" post.
I just spoke with telesales to switch my prepaid account to a non-contract postpay account. Moving from my dumb phone to a Motorola Q (Ewww!). Maybe moving to a Palm Pixi Plus after that (slightly less eww) before going on contract with the SGN. ANYWAY...
I asked him outright if he had any information on the release date of the SGN, and he said they haven't given them any release info (I knew that was coming) but that they had done all their training on it, powerpoint presentations, the whole nine yards, so he anticipated it would release in the next week or two. That certainly fall in with the 12/8 that we're hearing now.
I also asked him about the double data promotion, and he said he didn't know of an end date, but based upon previous promotions, he didn't think it would end before the holidays. He said it didn't make any sense to end it earlier than that, and that it would probably run for the rest of the year, but again, he didn't have any firm dates as to the end of the promotion.
He is also going to call me / email me as soon as he gets info on the release of the SGN, so I'll certainly share that here as soon as I get that info from him. It's a private list he has, and he has a vested interest in getting me that information because he is after all a salesman, and will want to take my order. He said it was his own personal list, and that he was adding my cell phone number and my email to his outlook. I don't know if he has a secret release date set up in outlook, or just notes, but I suppose it is possible that the 12/8 is firm enough that the reps know about it but just aren't allowed to say yet, and he has a meeting set up to tell him who to call about the phone on the release date or whenever they're allowed to announce, for pre-orders or whatever.
No real breakthrough information here, but I figured I'd pass along this for the info heap and also add my speculation / inferences about that information.
Now I just have to stop chewing my fingernails off in anticipation of this phone!

I am on att right now. I am still trying to decide what to do my captivate lags an lot recently. So am trying to decide whether to either get sgs2 for 96 cents, get nexus s so can have ICS for fifty Bucks, or just wait it out there are pjones with ICS otb.
