Good morning all! I'm in a reflective mood this morning. I've come out of lurking here and there to post news or provide a comment or two; I must say this is the best forum and certainly the most respectful and interesting (and most massive) thread that I've ever participated in! Thanks to Steven's stewardship and the contributions of the most excellent mods, guides and members we have been some of the first to get news....and have even created some ourselves! Thank you all for somehow managing to contribute to both my sanity and insanity. It has been a wild ride, and in the end, I think we will all be satisfied and proud Gnex owners. It's not long now. I've been spiraling between being extremely excited/hopeful to downright depressed and I think sometimes it's always a good idea to shift our POV's. Please forgive me if this sounds preachy, but I'm gonna suggest that we all try to put our #firstworldproblems in perspective and be thankful that we even have a connection to the internet in order to vent our frustration about a delayed phone. I know that I need to be reminded of that every once in awhile. Anywho, I'm super glad to be a (tiny) part of this incredible mega-thread! To the 8th and beyond!!

I, too, have been lurking the hell out of this thread for a while and now's my time to post. I'm on the OG wagon as well, and recently it's been acting like a tired, cranky 2 year old. I was thinking about the "rent-a-phone" program just so I didn't have to deal with the daily tantrums my phone would throw. I had it rooted and running a jdlfg kernel and one of Pete's builds - from at least a year ago. I guess I had forgotten I even rooted the phone. Long story short, I unrooted and then re-rooted last night and it's like I have a brand new phone again. So, I'm good to go until release day. It's the GNex or nothing for me.

I know what you mean Gapi. I work with mostly girls/women in there mid 20s to early 30s and when we all go out, they roll the same way. Several of them could be models if they wanted to be, and the guys flock to them like moths to a flame. I just laugh, because I know what they are in store for. And then inevitably, you get the one or two guys in the room that eyeballs you all night thinking "what is that guy hanging out with all those hot chicks for? That should be me".

So I couldn't handle the problems my OG was giving and I caved and bought the HTC Placeholder aka the Rentazound aka Rezound. I'm not a huge fan of Sense but the phone flies and LTE is FAAAAST.

I asked the guy at Verizon about the extended return policy and he said I have until January 15th. I told him "there is phone that may be coming out soon that I may want instead". His response: "The Galaxy Nexus? I've been waiting for that for months too...they keep delaying it. As soon as they announce it I'll be all over it."

I like the Rezound, just not enough for me to give up hope for the Nexus and ICS on that beauty.

It's tempting, but I don't like the lack of ability to purchase online, since I think that's the first place I'll be able to buy the SGN.

I don't like accessories at all, so I would have no use for it.

Stopped by Best Buy on an errand today, took a quick peek at the Rezound and some Galaxy SIIs. Gorgeous phones all, but it just made me more excited about the GNex. I wasn't even tempted.

Also, didn't have much time to play because my 3 y/o was running amok.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of accessories either, especially those huge lapdocks, which seem totally ridiculous to me. If I want to spend $200-300 on a computer, I'll buy one that's not reliant on a phone and can do more than surf the web, thanks. I'll just be getting an MHL-HDMI conversion cable for TV mirror mode, and a USB OTG cable, assuming we ever find out for sure that the Nexus supports it.

OMG you really did thank every single post in this thread. Do you know hard some of us work, pleading and begging, cajoling and occasionally blackmailing for our hard-earned Thankses that are now totally devalued?

Thus proving supply and demand... Such is the toll of inflation of the thanks market. We just keep printing them out.

Good point. We should start looking into reevaluation programs for the thanks currency...maybe tie it to something? Perhaps we can define the value of a thanks in terms of the ratio of steven58's thanked posts per total posts times number of thanks? That way, we can define our thanks in terms of the standard of helpfulness, Steven.

Does it REALLY devalue all of our thanks or just 3vil's? I never really thought about it but my "God Bless You" when someone sneezes is probably worthless too.
