This leads me to believe that it was supposed to be released today as we have seen proof of that in best buy screenshots. Then after the delay they took it off the circular but forgot to take it out of the area where you can search for it.

I don't see any other reason for this. It's not visibly available anywhere else on the best buy site.

That's a large part of what led me to believe it is an error.:(
 
Just called my local Best Buy to see if they had it in stock. He said they didn't have it yet, and that they made a mistake in the ad saying it was ready today. I asked what the most recent date he heard and he said "the most recent date I have heard from my Verizon Rep is the 29th"

He didn't sound like he was extremely confident in the date, sooooo take it for what its worth, which really isn't much. Sorry guys and gals!
 
Regarding the GN on the Best Buy site. It's in the main circular, but it is in the December Mobile Phone Buyers Guide. When I click on the weekly ad, I see a box in the lower left side of the screen that says 'More Best Buy Guides and Catalogs'. The Mobile Phone Buyer's Guide should be there. Take a look at pages 11, 21, and 44.
 
Hello, lurker who just called Best Buy, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The girl on the phone asked what page it was on in the circular, but I couldn't find that, so I gave her the SKU. She wasn't able to find anything in the system based off of SKU 3094141. She couldn't give me any more information, and didn't seem familiar with the Galaxy Nexus (Prime?), so she agreed that someone in corporate probably screwed up. She was quite nice though, and apologized for the apparent mistake.

I'm actually at my in-laws right now, heading back home to Boston today (there will be some epic traffic...), so perhaps I'll give one of the Best Buys in Boston a call and see if they've got anything they'd be willing to hold for me.
 
Droid-life has table from verizon comparing Gnex to SGS2 on other carriers. It's listed as199 for 32Gb. I wonder if anyone saw that on Verizon site.

Saw that article. Ive never seen a vZW comparison to other carriers phones before. Wonder if its just an internal flyer for CSRs and selling.

Verizon doesn't care what you activate. I've activated a number of...shall we say "test" devices. You need to speak to the CSR to do so, but according to my NDA I couldn't tell them what I was activating. They always shrugged and said "...ok, I suppose it's fine if it goes through..."

Granted, the company I was testing for probably shipped VZW all of the MEID codes and had them marked as active.
