Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Hey blood... I'm not sure what all you mean by the camera button on the new 2.2 but I just want to say that my camera works just fine. If you go in camera settings and select"color effects" the camera will force close but EVERY other option works perfect the camera button on the screen and the one on the side of the phone. It all works flawless except for the color effects.

The camera bug i was talking about is if you try to open the camera by holding down the button, zeam will fc

Oh gotcha.... yep it force closes like that. I didnt notice (probably because I have always used the apps icon to open the camera every since I had my prevail) So guess what?? It will never effect me at all :D

Where can I learn about this from the first post? I'm not sure what to do? I absolutly need the stock Email so i can setup my work email on my phone and I need thinkfree office to go with it to read Docs. Do I download the removed apps list to my phone or my computer? I read the "read me" and it says

"Either use adb and push the app you want to /system/app/ or put it on your sdcard and move it there with root explorer. You may have to reboot your phone"

Well Root explorer cost money and I dont do plastic, So stupid question #1 What is "adb"? I'm just not wanting to mess this up and I dont feel comfortable doing this with two sentances of instruction as i'm sure i will goof up something. Now stupid question #2 how do i push these to "/system/app/ " I cant find that location using ES File Explorer.

Any guidance or links is much appreciated guys!

This was posted already earlier in this thread... post 456...

I just used ES file explorer to do this wasnt that easy since icons have no lables and guess your spose to know based on what the icon shows, but to do it

open es file explore
push the hardware settings button bringing up the menu
click settings then move down change home directory to / from /Sdcard/
click the option below says root explore
and click below that mount file system (changes to writable)
Find the file under sdcard folder hold click and copy the app
then click folder up icon (blue with green arrow) to go back to main folder
click system folder
and click app folder
then move the lower arrow up and should show the app their click on it to copy to that location

flash the Emailfix.zip in cwm

for anything else mvaness's instructions should work

It says /sdcard/ when i try to change it to "/from/sdcard/" it says "cannot find path you specified, do you want to create it?" I click yes and it says "failed to create the path"

Just change it to "/" without quotes not "/from/sdcard/"...

/ is where you want to be for access to the file system. Be careful. Also, don't forget to change the permissions of the file you are pasting into the apps folder. They should match the permissions of the files already in there. and don't forget to reboot.

Never mind you dont change it to /from/sdcard/ like it says its just /sdcard/ which it was already like that when I opened it up.

But second hicup. when I click on the zip app in the folder it wont let me copy it? it just opens and asks do you want to install this app? I cant copy it to be able to paste it in the other folder/ Long pressing does noting at all. I never had that problem in ES file explorer before.

Quick one..

Now that this Mod uses "zeam" and not GoLauncher should I go in my SD card and delete the GoLauncher folder? I guess its no longer needed right?
